Our's is the Montevideo Maroon Mustangs. I'm sure there are tons of Maroon Mustangs all over the U.S.

We're the hawks....all our high schools are named after some bird; All the jr. high's are named after big cats, except one, and they're the bulldogs.

My New highschool was Homestead Spartans (Junior- Sen)
My current College is IPFW Mastadons

South Rebels. But recently there has been all this controversy that it is racist because of the civil war and we had to take down all our flags because it offended people. There were even rumors about us completely changing the mascot to the sabors. Luckily they were only rumors though.

Actually for a bit of a story, our school was going to be the Monarchs, except the coaches all we're a bit mad since its the name of a WNBA teams and also a kind of butterfly. So we had a schoolwide vote, and the nominations came down to Titans, Moose, and something else. Of course there was a huge crazy uproar for the Moose, which won in a vote, but was removed by the principal since he didn't want to go through issues with girls teams being the "Lady Moose" or whatever excuse. So we are the Titans. And I have typed too much.

Jefferson Bronchos. Yes that h is supposed to be in there. I guess the story is that back in the 50's or so, the place where the basketball team got their jerseys and such spelled it "Bronchos" then I guess it just caught on.

Girls- Jags

I bet we are one of the very few teams where there is a mascot for both the girls and the boy in the high school and middle school. I don't know why this is but that is the way it is. Every time we play a team in a sport they ask us why we have two mascots for our middle school. Like i said i have no clue why we have different mascots for everyone.

Also, our principal spends too much on athletics. For example, the football teams (Varsity,JV,9th grade) combined have 20 paid coaches. This means we have to make cutbacks in other not important (notice the extreme sarcasm here) areas like classes offered, textbooks (used), and number of teachers. Yesterday at the pep rally, the microphone didn't work because the school got it from Dollar Tree. -end rant

I go to Clear Creek High School. We're the Wildcats. The worst mascot I've heard is the Ganders. Yes.....the Ganders. I believe that's the mascot for Baytown Lee, not sure though.
