Question Schwarzenegger as Governor

Now that Arnold is has taken over the position of Governor of California, how do you think he will fare as a politician?

I doubt he's going to legalize "It." He was a big part of a health and wellness thing and I'm sure smoking anything isn't good for your lungs. Plus, even if he did that, I'm sure the age would be over 18 to do it. Who knows, though?

A man with no political experience being the governor of the most largely populated state in the US is kind of funny. I wonder if he'll actually go places.

If he gets the right supporting cast behind him, he'll be great. Arnold already has money, so he won't let his personal financial well being get in the way of running the state. Other governors on the other hand would take bribes from big buisness and such

Hmm. Don't mess with Schwarzenegger. He can kill you in a second. I don't know if he's up to his task. I'm not even sure what he stands for.

Pretty big chance molesting women will become legal though. So, if you meant that with "It", you'll grow to like Arnie.

I think the whole recall election thing is hilarious. Personally, I would have voted for either the prostitute, Gary Coleman, Larry Flint, or the 100 year old woman---tough call!

A group of liberal judges (in conjunction with the ACLU) tried to stop the recall, due to insufficient voting machines. Never mind that these were the same voting machines used to elect Davis. Now, all of sudden they're no good. Too funny!

Then there's the LA Times, which launched a smear campaign against Arnold. For reasons unknown, the LA Times failed to exploit Davis for allowing that former Womanizer-in-Chief Clinton to stump for him just a week prior to the LA Times smear campaign against Arnold. Speaking of the LA Times, I find it somewhat odd that they passed out FREE newspapers the very same day they blasted Arnold for womanizing. Coincidence? I don't think so. Fortunately, thousands of people have canceled their LA Times subscriptions as a result of the Liberal Times antics. Good!

Side note: this is the same newspaper that doctored photos taken during the recent Iraq war to make it look like a US soldier was pointing his gun at a woman holding a child. But remember everyone.... the media are controlled by the corporate right-wingers, hahahaha.

I'm not surprised that Slick Willie came to Gray's side. They deserve each other. Both of them had the option to save the taxpayers over $100 million combined by admitting to their personal shortcomings. Nah! It's more fun to lie, cheat, and steal rather than show some integrity.

That's what Davis gets for allowing illegal aliens to obtain a driver's license. Now that wasn't funny.

I will give credit where credit is due. Some Dumbocrats are willing to give Arnold 100 days in office before starting HIS recall, which some Hollywood liberal said he'd finance. I think that's very generous of them and am surprised they're willing to wait that long. Kudos!

I can't help feeling that electing Schwarzenegger for governor is kind of like eating a bird because it sings pretty.

I could see this working out ok, because all he needs is a supporting cast that knows what they are doing, and then he can be the puppet for them.

As I am not am American I am viewing this slightly differently and have a general opinion. Currently both the Prime Minister of Canada and the US President aren't two of the brightest of individuals. They both rely heavily on their supporting cast. For the most part this applies to any political position of significance. Usually the one elected is a puppet. I think Arnold will fall into this category.

Dude, Arnold can fix the budget deficit with one flex of his abs, solve the energy crisis by pumping his biceps, and make all of the state senate, Republican or Democrat, turn into weeping little babies with one impression of his prescense. He's going to kick serious political ass.

I think we'll have to just wait and see what he does in that first 100 days. He needs to make some decisive decisions and get something of substance done quickly. I think it very well could work out. Arnold is going to pump California up. His wife being a Kennedy I think should help the Democrats get over having the recall. Even the head chairman (correct me if I'm wrong about the title) who is a Liberal Democrat even admitted that he thought that the recall was a "revolution" in that more young people and people who normally didn't vote got involved in the election. I think this could very well open up the eyes of other struggling states as well.

Be careful, that's a dangerous precedent to set, but it gets used a lot. 100 days is an awfully short time to turn things around.
His wife being a Kennedy I think should help the Democrats get over having the recall.
ha ha, I wouldn't count on it.

No. You don't recall elected officials if there are budget problems in a period of economic recession. You recall them when they deceive you by hiding the severity of the problem, like Mr. Davis did.

I thought sodomy was already legal in CA?

Anyway, I kind of wish I did live in CA now. It's all very inspiring, what a great country we have.

Nice to see the ACLU pettifoggery didn't work this time.

Im basing this off of what my chem teacher said. She said some dude that was going to run paid 3 mil to recall whatever that other guy's name was. She also said in the end, he didnt run. So Im wrong, Im sure you've been wrong too sometime. Or maybe you are now...

Never ever ever ever listen to a chemistry teacher EVER. They are satan incarnate.

Back to the topic, I think Arnold will be considered widely successful, although there will always be critics. As stated earlier, he can't mess up anything else, simply because there is nothing more to mess up. I think with wise advice he will slowly improve the state.

OJ didn't do it. He was just a victim of the vast right-wing conspiracy that Hilary always talks about!

(ever notice that there's no such thing as a left-wing conspiracy?)

One thing's for sure....only 3 people know who killed Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman. Two of them are dead, and third one is named OJ Simpson!
