Favorite Simpsons Character

My all time favorite Simpsons character is Ralph. He is so funny and stupid. I like all the rest of the gang but Ralph really sticks out.

Ralph sucks. Well, no, he doesn't suck, but he is very overrated. He was funnier before everyone started going wild over him, like in the episode where he falls in love with Lisa. Nowadays, they just have him say horribly unfunny random things, but people still love it simply because Ralph said it.

I know its a given, but the best Simpsons character is Homer, the way he was characterized and acted from seasons 2 through 9. (Note: They are entering season 15 this fall.) If you want reasons why he isn't as great anymore, I'll give you a long list.

SC: Wha?? AT THIS TIME OF YEAR, IN THIS PART OF THE COUNTRY, LOCALIZED ENTIRELY IN YOUR KITCHEN??!!!
Skinner: Yes
SC: May I see it.
Skinner: mmm No.

Homer, because he says everything that everyone is thinking.

Example:

When the Simpsons go to that Western Town on a tour. Homer asks the tour guide if he has to listen or if he can just stand there.

Ralph is the most overrated charecter in the history of the show without a doubt. He takes away with the stupidd stuff he dose more than he contributes to the show. As you can most likely tell by my screen name Milhouse is my favorite.

Lisa. The best word to describe her would be "trapped" -- like the Mary Poppins / nanny episode: "I'm getting used to never getting noticed."

Milhouse: Can I use your bathroom??
Comic Book guy: No, the bathroom is for paying customers only.
Milhouse: Uhhh what can I get for 75 cents?
Comic book guy: Hhhhehhhhh you can get this Ronald McDonald Land comic book, a child has already solved the jumble in crayon, the answer is fries.
Milhouse: I'll take it!!
Milhouse's dad: Milhouse! You said you just had to use the bathroom, now I find you in here buying comic books?
Comic book guy: Oh our transaction is complete, you may take the boy.

I think Homer is the greatest on that Show, he is the center of most of the episodes.

For me it depends on which season. In the old school season, I'd have to say Homer, or Bart. Homer made the show since he's your typical dumb dad with a buggy son. Thats why I think Bart was funny in the older epsiodes. Him and Lisa bugged the living crap out of Homer. Need a clear example? Look:

"Homer, if you don't get us a pool, you get this for the rest of your life:

Can we get a pool dad?
Can we get a pool dad?
Can we get a pool dad?
Can we get a pool dad?
Can we get a pool dad?
Can we get a pool dad?
Can we get a pool dad?
Can we get a pool dad?
Can we get a pool dad?"

Ah, the joys of bugging your parents. Other than bugging Homer, Bart wasn't all too funny that much. I just loved the pranks he pulled on Homer, Moe, and proabobly the whole town. But I gotta go with homer.

This is all based upon opinions from the Simpsons era before they wen't bad. Now, they ALL try to be funny, and it's completley random, and most of the time not even funny.

"Um Bart, I think im ready to tell you why I was crying at recess."
But seriously, Milhouse inst 100% gay although a lot of people think he is. First off we know he has an insane crush on Lisa. And in "Lisa's Wedding" (a flashforward episode) we know he did infact have sex with Lisa.

"Lisa's Wedding" is just a prediction, it didn't happen for sure, remember!

One of the jokes about Milhouse is that he is pretty feminine, so the school psychiatrist thought he was gay. He isn't, though, as proven by his crush on Lisa.

I would have to put Homer and Bart in a tie. They're hilarious. Remember the Indiana Jones Spoof with Homer tumbling down the stairs after Bart? That was one of my favorites next to the "Behind The Laughter" Episode..

I like Bart for not only his role in the show but the lady who plays him. Beside that I like the fact that one person playes 2 or 3 roles in the show.

Homer was damn hilarious until around 1998 or around season 10-11, when they decided to turn him into an angry loudmouth whiny jackass with absolutely no feelings or brains at all, compared to the stupid, "angry but only becuase he didn't know any better", lovable idiot he was before.

Its hard to explain, but if you watch an episode from, say, season 4, and then watch an episode from season 11, Homer is almost not even the same character.

I love Ralph a lot... the one that topped it was when they had the "Tales from the Public Domain" episode, which features 3 stories (Homer as Odysseus, Lisa as Joan of Arc, and Bart as Hamlet). In the Hamlet Segment, Ralph (as Laertes) has to avenge his father (Wiggum as Polonius), and is allowed a practice stab.

Ralph (upon learning he gets a practice stab): Oh, boy! (and stabs himself)

I never laughed so hard over a Simpsons episode in my life, and I've been watching since Tracy Ullman.

I also like Homer, in which I have to mention my 2nd favorite, where Homer clones himself in "Treehouse of Horror XIII"... some of the stuff was just insane.
