Are you tired of hearing about certain parks nonstop and then, they turn out to be crappy...I know I am. Esp from the board. The goal of this is not to pick out the worst aprk, just the most overrated. For exampke, SFKK, SFNE, SFA, PGA, etc. cannot be counted in the category b/c we all know they blow, therefore you cant be dissapointed.

Mine is SFMM, way overhyped, the coasters arent even that great, atmosphere subpar, not a goos park, and same with PKI.

I'm never dissapointed by parks; I set mediocre expectations so that I'm not dissapointed.

However, Carowinds was even more mediocre than I thought it would be.

Okay, lets see here. I'm somewhat disapointed with Cedar Points atmosphere but the food, the employees, and the rides more than made up for it. I accully [I]enjoyed[/I] SFA but i guess that's all thanks to the Ride of Steel, although the atmosphere wasn't terrible either.

I haven't been to the others you've mentioned and i've only been to 7 parks so i really don't have much expearince.

I guess i'll say Six Flags Great America. They need to maintain their woodies better and the employees (for the most part) were terrible. Sending out coaster trains half-empty (Raging Bull, Iron Wolf) or so-slowly that even full trains couldn't move lines (Whizzer, American Eagle). The atmosphere in places is odd, mix-matched and unexceptable. On the otherhand the Southwest territory seemed pretty decent and the coasters weren't too bad, despite matinance (woodies) and trim brakes best effort to kill them.

SFWoA remains the worst ever experience I have EVER, EVER had.

But for this poll.... I've been to all of the listed parks. Magic Mountain was BY FAR the biggest disappointment.

Nothing like a big woodie first thing in the morning and before going to bed at night.

I think the only park that I have been disappointed in is Knott's. It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Plus they only have one coaster that's a decent length...Ghostrider which was closed when I was there.

I'm never disappointed with CP and PKI could use a new good steel, but it's still a pretty good park. SFKK isn't really all that bad. I think people complain too much about that park; not every park can be perfect. SFGAm was pretty congested despite raining the morning I went. I was there the whole day and road each coaster only once and didn't have time for any flats. The coasters were awesome so I guess that makes up for it, next time I should probably go in the fall.

I haven't been to SFMM yet, but all the others I have. CP was a little the first time, it just seemed dirty to me.

But when we went back, it was like a whole new park. They had done a great job of cleaning it up.

Intimidator Coming in 2010 to Carowinds!

Even though SFGAm is my home park and I've been to it more than any others, I can see why people would find it dissapointing. Everyone probably goes there expecting a great day filled with tons of rides on awesome coasters, but your hopes are almost always let down becuase of the massive, congested crowds and bad employees, which causes you to only get to ride each coaster once in a day, usually. Also, for being one of the top Six Flags parks, its atmosphere is pretty medeocre.

IOA...when it was new..all teh news shows and TV thinsg about it and TVadds saying how great it was.. and it really doesnt have that much to do... i just didnt think it was that great

SFWoA. It was the dirtiest and most poorly run park I've been too. I still enjoyed the coasters though.

I was disappointed by PKI...it was kind of run down and dumpy. I always thought it was "so much better" than PKD accroding to just about everyone. They had some awesome rides, but the park itself was looking a little old and tired.

of the parks on that list ive been to, SFMM was. It was dirty, the food was less than good (cept at mooseburger), and the atmosphere wasnt fun. Cedar Point lived up to most or all of my expectations the first time I went, and BGW was just a beautiful park, along with great rides. The others I have not been to.

I've been to PKI, CP, and BGW. I don't think any of those parks are disappointing. I agree with coasterphil, DP is disappointing, the only good rides there are Talon and Steel Force. Too bad they don't sell individual ride tickets anymore. Walking up and down that hill wears you out. I would also have to add that SFGrAdv is a real BIG disappointment, except for Nitro and Medusa. The park has paths that dead end, rides that are in desperate need of maintenance, a new coat of paint, or just to be torn down all together, and employees that aren't really happy to be working there.

I never said DP was dissapointing. I was guessing why Diesel thought so.

Diesel, why do you hate Dorney so much? I can think of worse parks in the CF chain alone. I also prefer Dorney to its PA neighbor, Hersheypark. Sure, Hershey has better wood, but they don't have a hyper or an S&S blast tower either. Talon also delivers a much better ride than the Great Bear and Laser kicks Superdooperlooper's arse all over creation. Though Hershey may have the edge next year after their new addition.

Sadly, I have been to only CP, PKI, Geagua Lake (before the SF days) and WDW.

I voted CP because there are clearly better parks besides CP. One main thing keeping me from CP this year was entry fee. Drop the price a few bucks and more people might come. $$$ is the reason for me going or not going to a park.

I have only been to Dorney Park once...lol i love how they clear over there with there finger hahhaha. But the rides i love though.

WHen i went there for our trip instead of them clearing with there thumb they where using there one pinky finger i think or one of them instead of the thumb we use over here. It would of thought that it would of used it as a lap bar relase or somting...oh well

Oh, you mean stating that a ride is clear to go. I thought you meant clearing a table after someone ate there..

DP has mirrros in its bathrooms. They also have an awsome inverted coaster, a great hyper coaster, a great Schartzkopf, a good woodie, now they will have a great floorless. It is also very clean, and 90% of the time attracts nice crowds, someimes they attract the Philli and NYC crowds.
