Fast or Slow Lifts?

Do you prefer slow lifts filled with anticipation and good views; or lifts that get you up there fast and start the course with a bang?

Since my top 3 favorite coasters all have relatively slow lifts, I'd have to say....... S L O W ! ! !

I'll drag you on Magnum with me, leeloo.

I prefer slow lifts. Helps build up the suspense.

I like quick lift hills. Magnum has a decent speed but other coasters have slow lifts that get old real fast.

I like the slow ones, except at DP because I don't care to have a view of that hellhole. That's why Laser's lift sucks.

leeloo1953: "LOL!! Well I can see now that Robert is going to be just a bad as a few others around here, (who I will not name)."

Why leeloo, whatever do you mean??? Me bad???

leeloo1953: "Just to clarify, I'm afraid of heights, therefore, I really do not enjoy a slow lift hill."

Thanks for the clarification.

MaGnUmKeLly: "Leeloo when you come on magnum, I'll be there working and I will for shure take care of you when you ride."

This part is true...that Kelly Girl always provides excellent service!!!

leeloo1953: "...with me, you'll never want to do it again!! Trust me."

Uh....no comment.

Slow lifts. The change in speed is greater when you crest the hill and begin heading down. Millenium Force's biggest weakness is the lack of "creeping" affect. The coaster train does not creep over the hill like Goliath or Magnum. Plus, I believe a slower lift hill helps create that "feeling" in your stomach over the first hill.

Back in 1991 when i first rode magnum, I had the really bad stomach feeling while going up the first hill. I am guessing most people that really never had gone on a large coaster that has a lift hill might feel that. Its part of the thrill i guss.

About Leeoo's Coment "...with me, you'll never want to do it again!! Trust me." Check Please lmao

For the record i am a women not a girl...hum how old am I robert hahaha. Had to move this coment lol. I made robert think and confused him haahah. SOrry robert

..Thanks for chating last night Leeloo Hope to hear from you soon.

I like slow especially on The Beast. But MF's is so cool how fast it is. You don't have time to get scared on it.

I also wish that MF would stop at the top, it's such a pretty view.

Slow is definitely better. Like on the 4th of july, at CP you can watch the fireworks going off for a little while on your way up the hill on magnum. Then all the sudden your falling 194' 8" down the hill. Definitely lots of fun.
