The only ones I find annoying are played by those who drive aorund in tricked out civics with the spoilers that look like they belong on airplanes. Sound system in the back and I can hear that from a mile anywhere. If the music is played at a tolerable level, I have no problem wiht hip-hop. Now country music, THAT's the same damn story every song no matter how they try to change it. That's awful.

I like a good deal of it, but all Eminem is terrible. If you count "Who let the dogs out" as hip-hop, it wins most annoying. Ever.

Country music is not that bad. Just play the songs backWard and you'll get your house back, your dog back, and your wife back (well, having 2 out of the 3 back isn't bad). I'd rather listen to Country than cRAP music... |

Chingy's "right thur" is probably the worst and most irritating rap song in existence. Seriously, there can't possibly be anything worse.

It's all terrible. I swear the rap 'artists' are lyricaly challenged. They can't write one song without rapping about b----es, blunts, 40s, dubs, or booty. Give a rapper a guitar, let them write a song and see how well they do, while anybody can write a rap song and and it will be #1 on TRL. The only good rapper is Eminem. And he's white.

If you dont like rap then dont post. Go and make a most annoying pop or alternative thread and post on that one. While i like old school rap better, any song that makes ladies shake their booty is a good song to me |

Oh sh**! That was awesome Leeloo. As the kids would say, "OWNED" Anyway, I enjoy the old NWA, Eazy-E, 2 Live crew, RUN DMC, Ice-T. The one I find the most annoying is that damn thong song.

I find it quite dissapointing that none of you like hip hop. I don't mean this as "you should like hiphop, why don't you listen to it". The problem definetly lies with the radio and TV stations that pump tons of commercial crap over their airwaves. These songs have no lyrics, horrible beats, horrible flow, and they just aren't what hip hop is. "Pimp Juice", "P.I.M.P", "Stand Up", "Iz U" and many other songs come to mind when you mention annoying hip hop. Rap in many cases is a great form of art in which it's artists express issues or life in the life they lead. This stuff you hear on the radio is art that is being exploited. There is no way I can change your hatred for hip hop, yet if you really want to see what the art is about, I will list some artists who create great music, with great lyrics that you should check out. Why? I think it's important that you know there is more to hip hop and rap than what you hear on the radio. Here: Rascalz- Top Of The World 2pac-I wonder If Heaven Got A Ghetto 2pac-Letter To My Unborn Child 2pac-Baby Don't Cry 2pac-Changes Talib Kweli- Good Mourning Choclair-Situation 9 Infinate-Take A Look Jadakiss-Keep Ya Head Up K-OS-Follow Me (Follow Me is dedicated to MagnumRic. K-OS plays a guitar )I could list many more, but if you only check out one, just one of those songs, I think it could give you a much better understanding of what hip hop really is. All this from a rap fan who refuses to listen to the radio, because of all the crap they play on it.

EVERYTHING Me=Rap/Hip Hop Hater. EXCEPTION: Beastie Boys. Although they aren't Hip Hop at all by todays standards. They are more of a late 80's to early 90's type of Hip Hop.

I don't like rap or hip-hop at all, but the songs Natelox listed are far better than the crap they play on radio and MTV. Tupac is a great artist, Changes is a great song. Life Goes On is a great Tupac song too. Old school Snoop Dogg is good too (new Snoop is terrible, just like all the other overplayed crap). I downloaded Follow Me since you said they play guitar, and it was not too bad. Glad to see some rappers acctually have musical talent, and the lyrics are far better than radio songs. Not something I want to listen to often but far better than trash like Nelly, Ludacris or anyone else.

I dont know but i am just a big hip hop and rap fan. I mean i wont listen to it as much as metal (my #1 gene), but that how they write things. Its what there used to growing up for most of them so thats how they get there lyrics. I am not saying there the best things out there, but i love the beat to them. Not everyone here will agree but thats what i think of it.

If so, what gives you the right to say whether someone is of 'high class' or not. First, what is your definition of 'high class'? In society today, 'high class' is usually used relative to rich people. I would bet most people on these boards come from 'middle-class' famlies. Your lack of respect and overall rudness by that comment was purely disgusting and not called for. As for MagnumRic, I thank you greatly for your time that you spent to get that song. It means a lot to me and your openmindedness will definetly get you far in life.

^ And rappers weren't "high-class" by what Natelox was mentioning? Many were millionaires and lived in nice neighborhoods. That's one thing I really don't like about people who don't understand rap. I used to really be into rap. I'm not so much anymore, but I'll still listen to the old school stuff. If you soley base rap on the Crap you hear on the radio and TV now, you're going to get these opinions. The morons nowadays (with a few exceptions) are all about bling-bling, money, women, and riches. It's so lame. They don't flow well and they just sound bad. A lot of their stuff is just stolen from older, good rap. Case in point, P.Diddy/Puff Daddy/Whatever-the-crap-his-name-is steals all the time. Jay-Z stole from 2Pac and even tried to do his look (the bandana) for a while. I believe rap went into a steady descent when 2Pac was murdered. His rap was real. NWA and others started the whole gangsta rap genre, and that's the real stuff. The rappers on the West coast could flow, they had good beats, and they rapped about real life. They were just trying to get out of the streets, and what better way to do it than that method of entertainment? I'm sure a lot of you guys just hate it because you just don't like it! I totally understand and respect that. That's how I feel about most rock music. But the reasons some of you state are lame. Everyone says that. You really should know more about it before bashing it. That said, rap/hip hop sucks nowadays, except for some people like Hierohlyphics or some Dr. Dre. Eminem is OK, but his music gets old after a while.

Magnum Robert, stop while you are terribly, terribly behind. You're an idiot. Lets stop being racist and get out of the 50s. I mean, most of the preppy people listen to rap, and they are high class. They are so high class I want to punch them. Moving on, Im no fan of rap or hip hop. Maybe its that i've played violin for 11 years and I have to have a melody in a song to listen to it. There isnt a melody if you arent really singing. Or maybe i dont like the people that listen to rap now. If they arent going to respect that by playing instruments metal bands have talent, im not going to be what you'd call jovial to those people, and hence, their music. And really, I just dont enjoy it (for reason one). People will argue "well, where is the melody in a metal song?" That's easy. Listen to the singing, or listen to the guitar. "All they do is yell" Another simple answer "All rappers do is talk" or "thats why I said listen to the guitar." And really, rappers now have to be bringing down the IQ level of the nation as a whole. That rapper chingy hasnt had a single song spelled right. "right thurr and Holidae Inn? Where does he get this kinda crap? Another thing-rappers now have stolen rock bands songs and made them their song. Of course, most people dont know the difference. P. Diddy or whatever you want to call him took Kashmir by Zepplin and Eminem took Dream On by Aerosmith. Now, Im not trying to persuade you to change tastes in music. This is just why I dont like it, and why i especially dont like new stuff. As others have said, Tupac isnt all bad. Neither is Outkast. But other than that...
