I also like everything that i have read by Kurt Voneguet. He is my favorite authore at this time with Cat's Cradle being my second favorite book.
I know you have to read it in school, but it really is good. I've found that most people either love it or hate it.

I like Agatha Cristie books, I've read a few, but one that stood out was "Endless Night." I absolutely hated the book. I thought it was quite pointless, and it didn't seem like a mystery. Until the end. Oh, the ending..... one of the most shocking I've ever read. My jaw literally dropped. Has anyone else read this book, and what did you think of it?
Endings have always been my favorite part of a story, whether it's a movie, book, video game, anything. So, does anyone know of books/movies/video games/ect. that have good.shocking endings?
I remember I read a book back in sixth grade (I'm going into 10th now) called The Gun, I think. It was a young adult book about a rifle, and it told it's story from back when it was made in the old west, all the way up to modern times. It painted alot of very graphic pictures, about bullets hitting people in the spine and jerking them off of horses, and many other such things. I remember in another book he wrote, The Hatchet, he described, in great detail, a corpse that had it's flesh eaten off by fish. Lovely. But, back to the Gun, the ending was rather sad. A man had the gun over his fireplace, and the heat caused a bullet that was lodged in it to fire, flying through the window into his neighbor's house, killing their teenage son. On Christmas Eve. It describes the life he would have had, he would have been a good athlete, he would have been top of his class in high school and college, would have married his High School sweetheart, had a successful career, etc., ect. Great ending to a young adult book, don't you say?
