| April TNPP Submissions
The submission period for the April TNPP is now open. In honor of Earth Day, your task is to build an amusement park themed to the natural world. Which part of nature you choose is up to you, and as always, remember the general rules. Parks must be mostly of the submitter's construction. Parks may use RCT1, with Corkscrew Follies and/or Loopy Landscapes if they wish, RCT2 with no expansion packs, or RCT3. Parks must be between 50x50 and 128x128. The megapark workbench in RCT1 and the sandbox in RCT3 are acceptable. This is your last chance to win $50 to Amazon.com before the giant May competition, the rules of which can be found here. Any questions or comments about the TNPP should be directed to this thread. Lastly, the themes for June, July, and August will be announced sometime this month. The submission period for April will close around 2 p.m. PST on April 24. Post links to your submitted parks below.

Aaron, I am entering this contest. However, I have been really busy with issues that are more important. Would you be able to give me an extension for this? I just wanted to give you a future notice on this. I am going to try to make as much of the park as I can, but I can't guarantee that it will be finished. |

Extension granted until 6 p.m. PDT tomorrow. Voting will commence at that time and end at 6 p.m. PDT on May 2. Remember, only one submission this month means that park will automatically be included in the Winner's Circle.

I have never entered an RCT contest before but I am interested in doing so. Next month is the mega park contest which I don't think I am going to do. Would it be better for me to wait for the next one after the May competition or enter a park for the April TNPP that is nowhere near completion? I have a park that I am theming that would work for the earth day theme but it is still in the works. Any thoughts Aaron? Thanks.

Aaron, I have completed the park. I am now submitting the park into Speedzone. EDIT: I just finished writing the description of the park. Here is the link: http://www.thrillnetwork.com/speedzo....php?file=1299 EDIT AGAIN: I wasn't sure what time 6 PDT was. Is that in California? I submitted the park at around 8 PM on the dot Central Standard Time. Well, I hope everyone likes the park. Last edited by rocket2234; 04-25-2005 at 10:05 PM. |

It's your choice. If no one objects, I'll extend the deadline by one day to the 26th, 5 p.m. PDT. If you can theme it by then, great, I encourage you to submit it. We've had partially completed parks submitted before, but they haven't perfomed well in the voting. If it's near completion by the deadline, you might as well submit it. If not, you may care to wait for May, but be warned: the park for the May competition may take more then a month to complete. I'm extending the deadline because I really want this to be something of a competition, and one park isn't very competitive. Why are submissions falling off? Are people too busy, or is everyone just loosing interest? We really want this thing to grow, so please, submit parks. Helps us out and you get a shot at $50. PDT, by the way, stands for Pacific Daylight Time. PST, Pacific Standard Time, would be between October and April, but now that the clocks have sprung ahead, it's PDT. 8 p.m. CDT (Central Standard Time) is 6 p.m. PDT. Hope that cleared it up.

| Yes...yes...yes!! Enter a park. We do need the competition and I would love to review and rate it. Plus, you'll enjoy it and don't forget, you'll have a shot at $50!! Now who would want to miss out on that?? Do not forget that the TNPP does not allow expansion packs for RCT2...just RCT1. Last edited by bk2004; 04-26-2005 at 02:45 PM. |

Sorry for the double post. I am trying to upload my park for entry. I have never uploaded a park before and don't have the slightest clue how to do it. i have to have it in by 8:00 which is an hour from now. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. When I go to Speedzone and go to upload file, I do not know where to go from there. Thank you.

| When in speedzone click the "Upload/Manage Files" link on the left. Then for file select the RCT park that you made. Under game select "RollerCoaster Tycoon 2" (or whatever RCT version you made this in) then for Title put the name of your park. Next put a brief description of your park. Then check the check box below description and click Upload! Then your file will be the first one listed under RollerCoaser Tycoon 2. Come back to this thread and give us a link to your park! It’s that simple!

Thanks but I do not know how to select the park that I want to upload. This probably sounds really stupid but I don't know how to find that park.

When you enter speedzone, click on upload/manage files. Then, under upload file, click on the browse button next to File*. Then, from My Computer>Local Disk C>Program Files>Infograms Interactive>Roller Coaster Tycoon 2>Scenarios Then find you park and double click on it. When your done click upload at the bottom.

I got to program files but I then did not see Infograms Interactive. It is also an RCT3 park, does that have anything to do with it?

Well I just tried to upload it and I typed up the whole report on it but it was not a .zip file so it did not go through. I guess I'll have to wait until next time unless I can get some help with the .zip thing and be able to submit it a few minutes late. EDIT: Got it! 8:00 on the dot. I will re-write the report now. http://www.thrillnetwork.com/speedzo...le=1301&result=

Hey. Do you think you can get a picture of it? It takes long for me to get into RCT3.

Excellent. A big thanks to our two submitters, as well as to Graham and medieval for their assistance. Voting will begin immediately. I look forward to viewing both of these, including the first submitted RCT3 park.
