May TNPP Submissions

May already? Wow, where'd the time go? Anyways, it's time to open submissions for the May competition.
The theme for this month is a resort park. Combine any type of park of your choice with golf courses, hotels, waterparks, malls, anything that would make this place your ideal coaster vacation spot.
As always, parks may use any RCT series game, but expansions for RCT2 are not allowed; nor are expansions for RCT3. Remember, if someone has sent you any data for RCT2 expansions, that may not be used, as it will require the expansion pack to open. Parks which use expansions or expansion data will be disqualified.
For this contest, and this contest only, the maximum size has been bumped up to 200x200. The minimum size remains at 50x50; the sandbox in RCT3 and the megapark in RCT1 are acceptable.
The person submitting the park must have done the majority of the work on it.

Submissions will end May 25th at about 2 p.m. Pacific Time.

I've heard there's plenty of good parks that'll be entered this month, so I'm anxious to see them. Let's get them posted!

I'm looking forward to this contest. But can you please clarify what I quoted. Are you saying that no RCT3 park is allowed? Because you then say that the sandbox mode is allowed. Thanks

Perhaps I should make that more clear. Expansions for RCT2 aren't allowed, nor are expansions for RCT3, which doesn't really apply yet since Soaked isn't out. Basic RCT3 is perfectly alright.

WildeFyre also is, and while we're on the subject....
Kyle L. and I have been talking about the future of the TNPP and making some serious changes to the way it's run. We plan on holding either a TN or AIM chat at some time where all those interested can come and voice their opinions.
In the meantime, we've discussed the problem of deadlines. Given how people seem to always need extensions, we decided it was a bit foolish to end a week early. In the coming months, we're talking about ending the contest on the last day of the month, to have voting on the first week of the next month.
As a bit of a testing ground, we figured we might as well extend the deadline until Friday. Remember, there will be a Winner's Circle the ten days after voting closes.
We'll keep you informed about when the chat will be held.

Ok. I will still submit my park today probably because it is ready. Probably in the next hour or so.

Sorry for the double post but I was wondering how to convert pictures that are in BMP format to GIF, JPG, or PNG. Those are the only three that can be uploaded in Speedzone. Any help is appreciated.

Ok, my park is uploaded. See it here http://www.thrillnetwork.com/speedzo....php?file=1346. Please comment.

The small picture is a park overview. The big pictures in decending order are:1: The hotel and resort with waterpark in background. 2: Spider Web, a compact twisted wooden coaster in the Haunted Hill section of the park. 3: Mission to Mars, a large steel coaster in the Outer Space section of the park. That is the "Alien Head" element. 4: Two monster woodies in the Eastern Forrest. There over 40 seconds of airtime in that picture. 5: The Haunted Hill section of the park.

Enjoy.

Ok, here it is...
The Maui Club Resort feat. Worlds of Imagination Theme Park, Mt. Kilakila Waterpark, and Paradise Islands Resort Hotel

I've been working on this for awhile, but the last month has been pretty hectic, so I was unable to finish the RocketWorks section of the themepark. Anyway, there's a text file in the zip folder that explains the stories behind each major ride, which might help give another view on their layouts and such.
