If we don't think it is up to our standards, we will usually try and get it up to the standards we want - through communication with the submitter. Hey, if spend some time and write a good review, then you should have no problems - we'll just make sure it is all there, fix up grammatical errors etc.

Sure, if it's really good, we can use it.

Well in order to make a good site you can't be passive and sit back and wait for people to do all ofyour work for you. I would like to see you get off your throne and actually work on this site some. That's why this site is failing and it is nothing compared to the old Thrillride.

I think it is a good idea to have people submit reviews instead of TN writing them because we can get reviews on rides from all over the world instead of just reviews on ware the staff has been to.

You will see the staff write reviews. The only thing is most of us are stuck in the down-season. I will be going to the I-X Indoor Amusement Park in Cleveland in late March to review it. I'm planning on going to about 10 parks this summer, and review at least one ride at each park. I got a new digital camera, so it's gonna be sweet.

I'm afraid to post a review because all the other ones that I've read had been really good. I'm not to good on English papers so I don't think that my review would be very good.

Thanks Natelox. OK I'll do a review for Titan. No one else has done Titan, right?

hey, I'm going to PKI on May 17 (6 days). Do you want me to write a review for that when I get back? I could also give you a review of my trip to CP last year if you want....

I had written a fairly long and detailed nitro review that I was proud of and submitted it right when TN opened. They never published it so I revised it and fixed it and re-submitted it around the beginning of 2002 and it was never published. And there wasn't any other nitro reviews on here at the time. Its on an old computer I no longer have and now it is lost forever

Ok, silly question. Why not take the reviews submitted in the Park Reviews forum and move them over into the database? If scores are needed, perhaps PM the people who submitted the TR asking for scores, and then copy away.

It also gives you another place where people are already submitting the information that you want, so you don't have to wait as much for it to come in.

I think Sir Willow has a good idea there.

I took many of my trip reports and submitted them (with rating) via the park pages. I also submitted some ride reviews.

No acknowledgement. No posting of the reviews. No rating added.

It's discouraging. ThrillNetwork solicited reviews way back when you unveiled V1. I sent some in and, again, nothing.

Do you want reviews or not? Can we submit them via the park pages? Who is responsible for checking them? I'd like to think you're getting these things. It seems like a big black hole on your end.

Here is what we are working on:

We are going to treat "Posts" like article submissions on the main site. When a user posts a Trip Report or Review (on the boards [essentially the same thing]) they will have to option to use a drop down menu to associate it with a park/coaster in the DB and it will also put the Subject (headline) on the park/coaster page in the reviews section on those pages. Then clicking on read more will bring up the article. Commenting would then be linked to the post on the boards. This will also be Visa Versa.

Before the Trip Report or Review Posts to the "main site" meaning the park/coaster pages or the front page it has to be placed in the submissions que for approval. This will give us a chance to edit the post.

In addition we will have the latest Review appear as a large block under the news on the front page of the site.

Thanks Alex.

Can you just reveal what has happened to posts submitted via park pages in Db?

I was lucky enough to have taken numerous trips which I contributed to "Trip Reports". I don't think I'd want to rewrite anything, but feel they were good, comprehensive reviews. Is there a way to submit a previously written review?

They should still be there can you start a thread here:

http://www.thrillnetwork.com/boards/...hp?forumid=130

and be sure to post links to where the errors are. As far as I know there aren't any bugs in the review post on the Park/Coaster pages.

I wrote a review weeks ago but it is yet to be posted. The review was for Big Thunder Mountain - Disneyland Paris. When will it be posted?

I just checked the submissions queue. I did not see your review there, meaning that either you did not submit it properly or the editor who screened it decided it was not acceptable for publication. If the latter was the case, please consider the following. We want high-quality, well-written items for our main page. This means detailed descriptions as well as proper spelling and grammar. I don't know why your article wasn't posted, but these are some possible causes. Feel free to contact me via PM if you with to discuss it further.

I submitted an Xcelerator review quite awhiles ago and it ain't there. So, I'm thinking this is a site bug, or I should just stay far from the whole submitting thing.

The system works so try again or you can always email or PM any of the editors to have them add it directly. As for reviews and TR it would be great if you submitted them via:

http://www.thrillnetwork.com/index.php?page=submit

becuase there we can automaticaly add them to the Coaster/Park pages. And continue to make this a robust site.

Especially if you have been on Steel Dragon 2000 or Fujiyama, or to their respective parks, I know many users would be dying to find out what those rides are like.

PM or email me if you can help.

I've been to Leofoo Village Theme Park in Taiwan. I could do a review if you'd like. But this site is still not letting me submit any reviews, upload any images and the like...so it's kind of frustrating.

There have been some problems with submitting reviews. None of mine that I tried today (around a dozen) made it into the queue for some reason. Worked with Steven for a bit and he found a bug preventing submissions from getting through. So that's what the problem has been.

Though he did say that if it had been submitted recently he was able to get it approved, though it might not have any editing done. But they should be up now.
