SCRAM_BLAH_ERR(game nights flopping)

Why do we advertise game nights, when we aren't gonna have one? At least on time? Last week it didn't start until 8:30. This week, it's 8:40 now, and still no scram_bla_err. So far, game night has been a flop, and I really wish it wouldn't be advertised as Friday at 8, when it never starts then, if it ever starts.

It might be worth reconsidering the time to when more users are online, such as 9-10pm or something like that. How about everyone interested put up what times might work best for them... 10pm-ish would work better for me.

I don't mind the 8:00 PM (eastern) time spot, but we never seem to start until 9:00 PM anyway. I think it should be moved to 9:00 PM Eastern.

The problem last night was that the people who normally run it were not around. I was not aware of it until 8:25pm, when I had to scramble and get someone to be the host (since I couldn't host it myself).

Also, we are still working out kinks on how we run the game night, as this was only our 3rd or 4th in 3 weeks, so we're still learning some things on our end, so please be patient.

However, you can answer the following...

1) Would you rather go with an 8pm or a 9pm start?
2)Would you rather have the duration be up to 1 hour or up to 2 hours?

To answer those questions for myself...

1. I'd rather have a 9pm start, lots of finishing up everything Friday nights.
2. 2 hours I think would be better, allowing several games to be played and more people to join in.

Apparently, chat is working for everyone else, because I've been trying since 8 last night and I cant get on. It says:
Welcome to CoasterChat
Connecting to 198.6.71.113.6667
Unable to connect to server
Connection close.

What's wrong

(My picks:
1. 9PM
2. 1 1/2 - 2Hours)

1. I think it should be somewhere between 8 and 9. maybe 8:30. But if peeps want it at 9 I could probably do it. But 10 would be way too late to start IMO.
2. 2 hrs. would be great because we could do multiple games, maybe 20 min. games. So that would be 5 20 min games and we could add up the scores and have like overall winners and stuff(as you can tell, I love those complicated funky things ).

I know Andy! I usually go to a movie on Friday or Saturday and I would miss out on some great scram-blah-err-ing if friday was the only night from now on.

BTW, here is the link to the "Bring Back Sunday Scrambler" poll/thread.

Well, I say we dump scrambler in the main room all together. I thought that TN was gonna create a game room for that. If you guys have trouble getting people to play , that says something right there....

Actually, the game night is very popular, and theres usually over 20 people in the chat. Its just that half the time, nobody is there to host the game.

Game nights are indeed very popular, and we have had a max of 24 people in there. We seem to have fixed the hosting problem for now (as the past couple have gotten going on-time).

The game room is back in the works, with a launch date that should be sometime in May.

I think game night should be on Sundays and Fridays. It just seems to me that it should be more than once a week, or you could just give us TB2 back and end all this commotion.

Well, we're keeping it Fridays for now because we don't have anything worked out for a Sunday game night.

Also, TB2 won't ever be coming back... it got accidently deleted from the account I kept it on (but I still have the files for it's scrambler that I will install on Thrillbot for when I put in the game room).

The game went way too short this tonight. I came in probably about 15 minutes in, and we only played for about 15 minutes more. The highest score was only 64! Hows that compared to two weeks ago, at 500 something?! I really think that the game nights need to run longer, like maybe one game for two hours or two games for one hour each, or so on.

A lot of that has to do with the scoring system, Rebel. For example, sometimes some might set the #1 winner points at 10, where others, only 3. Also, there aren't that many B&Ms to cover.

Wow! I won tonights game! I didn't even know that because I left before it ended.

I heard that scrambler didn't even take place last night. Now what's up with that?

Well, it was Scrambler time, and no mods were present. Finally, Chip came in about 45 minutes later, but by then, there were only 6 people in the chat, and we didn't want to play.

I don't have a preference as to when scrambler starts, I just want there to be a scrambler on friday. I'd also like it to be two hours, It'd allow for more games and more people to join the game.

Please mods, tomorrow night, try to get it organized. Work out having a mod in there at 8:00 PM EST. Let us play for 2 hours! Last time I played, we got off subject for a minute and the mod thought that that was it, and we stopped! Let's play multiple games, too!
