Thrillnetwork.com Still Online, Shocking Enthusiasts at or Above a Fourth-Grade Reading Level

In news that surprised coherent enthusiasts throughout the world, Thrillnetwork.com is still online, and seemingly continues operations, evidently believing itself to be relevant.

"Seriously? That site's still up? That's incredible," said Detroit-area college-educated enthusiast Mike Herrington. "You're kidding, right?"

After closing twelve popup ads and reloading three times to resolve ASP scripting errors, ARN&R can confirm, in an exclusive investigative report, that the site is indeed up, despite widespread disbelief among enthusiasts capable of carrying on a conversation about any book without the word "thrill" in its title. The front page offers links to articles available only at thirty or more other coaster-oriented sites, along with the siren call of a link: "Click here for a PHP script to make this do something!" Additionally, the site's forums continue to operate with upwards of thirty people active at any given time, at least one of whom is capable of forming a complete sentence.

There may, indeed, be even more available on the site, but even the most intrepid investigative reporter couldn't say for sure, given the site's labrynthine navigation. The search engine has been "taken offline for tweaking," rendering further investigation difficult.

Reached for comment, the site's management declared: "We is the site for the rest of us, them who can't really write or talk so good."

Was TN really like that in the past? Was it that bad?

That article is over 2 years old now guys, I think we should be able to get over it. Plus its satire as WildeFyre said. Its taking the truth and stretching it out to create a joke.

I know they stretched the truth, it's 2 years old, and its from ARNaR, but I was wondering, was TN not as great as it is now back in then? I've seen some old site designs, and it didn't look that goreat, but hey, I wasn't posting then.

From the Thrillride, ride reviews way back when, I've always liked TN. The old versions may not be as aestheically pleasing as the new one. Or easy to navigate at that, but they were still just as informative with great topics in the forums.

Some would have you belive that though the site navigation and function has improved dramatically, the quality of it's members has not or has possibly declined further due to some members not being around anymore.

*cough* Kraken and GP *cough*

the one thing with Thrillnetwork is that it does seem to have a younger average age of it's posters than many of the others sites out there. And it does show up in the types of posts made and the quality. And yes, it certainly has had times where it has been worse than at other times. Seems to be cyclical.

But I do seem to find that I have a few more "head slapping" moments when reading through threads here than other places. Not that that is necessarily a bad thing, if you know what I mean... :P

Not when *cough* Kraken and GP *cough* routinely broke the TOS. Get over it, already (I'm sure that we attracted the trash because of their post quality alone). If you don't like it, there's the door. Otherwise, go have some cheese with that whine.

I also totally agree with Sir Willow. Historically, we've had a younger age (and in some ways, we still do). But, much of the age base has matured, and those who have set an example for the others. When we put forth the etiquette and started to make it enforcable, that really helped drive up the readability and quality from that period. Plus, I also see other members (yes, members) moderating other members in that you get a n00b who posts in cell phone shorthand. I like that, and for that, I thank those who do it.

Also, in case anyone noticed, look at breaking news...

Read how they put it, then read most of their other articles.

Happy to see that time changes nothing. Disagreements with administration still get the love it or leave it response. My favorite being that now after the fact that they've been banned it's conveyed that their behavior brought in trash and posters the didn't post quality, yet I've only ever been told that they scared off new posters and didn't respect anyone that hadn't been here since the beginning. Huh.

I love that those two did more "moderating" of the site (admittedly through snide remarks to the poster rather than tattling in the Help us out threads) than 90% of the wanna be mods that are around now, myself included.

Oh well, guess I'll just go eat my "whine and cheese" and continue to lose interest in this site as more and more things that make no sense whatsoever get accomplished. Hooray!

Being mentioned like that would make you infamous, as you have basically been labled an idiot along with sfft.
