I want to bring a serious matter to everyone's attention. There is a man Going into people's profiles on TN. Getting their aim sns and IMing them saying some rather disgusting things. If you get an IM from nbajr412 and he says hes one of "luis' friends" immediately block him. And then block every one of the sn's he ims you with afterwards.

If anyone gets an IM from him, save the conversation or log it even if you do block him.

It says he was born in 1977. For the way he acted and talked to me, I thought it was someone more around 15-17. This guy is a weird dude.

Regardless of age, he will have to work to evade his ban (especially with the measures I've placed).

Well, he isn't on TN is he? How would you ban him?

He actually is on TN. The info ClicheCoaster posted was a great help in finding accounts. From what little was there, I was able to then search our user DB for that info, and came up with what I needed to take care of him.

That's good. He just IMed me with another sn, nbaballer101, that is the 8th sn he has imed me with. He won't give up.

yes, because he said so, and he visited my xanga, and I have a counter that shows where people press the link to get in my xanga. And plus, how would he get the names of tn members otherwise?

What I would advise you to do is set AIM to allow only those to contact you that exist on your buddy list. It would then block everyone else.

I like Steven's option, but I like mine better when it comes to IMs. I have an option in AIM where it prompts me everytime someone NOT on my buddylist IMs me. Therefore, I can click their info/profile (should they have one) and determine from that if I want to accept their IM. If not, they are blocked for the session I'm on.

He's back. His new sn is casugarte and he attempted to send me a virus.

Not sure if it's him but someone under cigaretteman3843 IMed me saying bad things.

At this point, they already have your AIM s/n's and I can't do anything else on TN. I would advise locking it down so that only people on your buddy list can IM you, or getting another s/n.

I have over 70 SN's, so I really don't care if he has mine or not. Make profiles only viewable to members or something.

It hasn't been said, but anyone could be getting your AIM SN from anywhere, not just from TN. So if you are still getting these annoying messages, my guess is that you are doing nothing to prevent them. As Steven said, either set it in your AIM preferences to allow those only on your buddy list to IM you. Or, do as I have done and block those in the block list, plus prompt you on when "strangers" IM you. Since I have done this, I haven't received a Crap IM in a long time.
