Annoying posts

Where should we report posts with annoying spelling violations. Take this one for example: http://thrillnetwork.com/boards/show...763#post577763

Not only does the title of the thread mispell the names of two parks, but since when did Six Flags Over America exist in the DC area? I thought SF Over America became STStL.

Actually it was Six Flags over Mid-America.
Besides, it's an honest mistake, most SF parks are SF over [state, city, country].
You're just way too picky, cool down a bit.

Why don't you try asking him what he means himself and offering a correction (like actually suggest Six Flags America and Busch Gardens Williamsburg), and ask him to please be clear with spelling and so forth.

People make mistakes, but sometimes another member can be helpful in offering him the correction in a friendly manner instead of looking like the bad guy by reporting for something that technically isn't bad, just annoying.

So, if you wants us to be vigilant in policing other posters, then why does the HUO forum exist?

And if I'm supposed to offer help on people's spelling, then this email has confused me:

Subject: Your ThrillNetwork Behavior

Hey, Diesel. Your recent behavior has been a little iffy. This mostly relates to MagnumKelly. You've been commenting after a lot of her posts on her grammar and spelling, and you don't have room to do so. Just leave her alone and let the staff handle the ordeal. We have a new forum etiquette up (http://www.thrillnetwork.com/boards/faq.php?faq=tn_faq#faq_tn_faq_etiquitte) and in the posts you're making toward her, you're breaking the first rule:

"All members must respect each other's opinions and feelings. This means name calling, flaming, and purely provocative, destructive or demeaning posts will not be tolerated."

Just leave her alone. You can report the spam in Help Us Out, PM or e-mail one of the moderators to take care of it. We are well aware of her situation and we're trying to handle it. Just don't try to take matters into your hands. It's only causing trouble. Let the staff take care of it.

Thanks,

Alex "Chip" Chihak

So am I taking matters into my own hands or letting the staff handle it? Steven votes "my own hands" and Chip votes "staff handle it" can another admin serve as a tiebreaker here?

Let me clarify (since I am effectively now the only "admin" in the chain since anyone with a purple name, Chip included, is a section lead)...

For something that trivial as the above thread mentioned... try to suggest it on your own as I described above.

If they're not listening, go to Help Us Out and post, or see a moderator and let them know.

As far as MagnumKelly goes, she clearly needed to be dealt with by the staff since she wasn't listening to anyone at that point.

The question has been answered, and now it's just pointless.
