Referrals

Hi,
I am new to TN and have received a referral! I was not informed of receiving this referral and was shocked when I read my public profile.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me why I have received this referral and if not please list how someone could get a referral (or how to get rid of them)??

A referral isn’t a bad thing. In fact its kind of a good thing. A referral means that when another member signed up at ThrillNetwork they put your name down as someone who referred then to us.

I have 4 referrals. 2 are from people I've known in real life. Another was a former member rejoining under a different name (I had nothing to do with it) and someone who just used my name for some reason. I found out who it was and that member doesn't even post here as far as I can remember. I forget the name of the member now.

At first I was just like dayglower. I thought It was a bad thing to have a referral. I was looking at Coasterlove's profile awhile back and I saw like 4 referrals and I asked him what he did wrong. He told me they aren't bad. It just shows how many times people have said you have referred them to this site and all.

Out of curiousity, why would you both think that a referral is a bad thing?

Yeah... some schools use the term "referral" for something like what a demerit or misconduct report. My school did when I was a kid.
