| Posting news stories
Now I've posted enough news over the years that I knew this already, but to those that aren't aware, always copy your news story into some other word processing program before hitting submit. There's nothing more frustrating than hitting that button and having it say you screwed something up or your lead was too long and so you hit back only to see that everything you typed is now gone. Typically I just give up and either just hit send with the link in the story and let the editors do it after that. Just a word of advice. On a related note, is there a way to get it to let you just hit "try again" or something so you can fix it rather than lose it all?

As a note, it's now been about 18 hours since I posted a news story. Just figured that the timeliness of it will be gone if not posted before too long. Edit: Ok, more like 15 hours, but you see my point

There are technical issues currently occurring that affect stuff like submitting stories (the same reason why ads aren't working, why tn.net is down, and why I'm busy dealiing with those issues, amongst other things). Because of that, we will not receive it so you will need to contact an editor directly by IM or PM to submit a story. When ads and tn.net go back up, it's business as usual.
