i just joined and was trying to log on to the chat feature, but it comes back as 'wrong username/password'

i have no problem logging onto the forums though, and have tried to get into the coaster chat about 20 times now..

is there something wrong or do i have to wait or something??

I had a similar problem a few minutes ago. I was trying to log in and it was saying wrong username/assword. I tried several times and then had it sent to my email to see if it said anything. It then said that I had requested to change my password which I did not. I thought I might have been banned or something but I didn't see why. I had to sign in from the main page and not the forums for it to work. That was the first time that ever happened.

In fewer words as said above, sign in to the main site first. That should work. And second, re-read that signature policy. You are exceeding the limit by 2 lines.

That explains it all. Log out, return to the main site, and log in from there. DO NOT log in from the forums.

That shouldn't be necessary... and creating another username opens up issues with our terms. If you need to abandon the other username you created let us know.

In the future, contact us if you're having acct issues, and try to clear your cookies and relogin to the main site before contacting us though.

i log in on the site... it says wrong username/password
but my name comes up on the upper right..., and signs me into the forums...

i'll try the cookie thing though...

Whenever we do forum upgrades this can cause a problem... clearing your cookies is always a good idea.

I had the same problem @ work on my computer there.
