I'm still waiting for more applications... I'm not limiting who can apply, I just stated that preference would be given to older people who have been on this site longer. However, if you think you can best someone who is older and more seasoned, please contact me.

So you know, I have enough editor applications, but I am now looking for a few more moderator applications. If you are interested, contact us.

I would love to apply but I am not yet 18 and am not a big journalism fan. Maybe in a couple years.

Why would anyone want to actually be a moderator? I don't see how fixing other peoples posts is fun...

I applied for mod, if it comes down to needing me. Though I'm 15 you said it doesn't matter much. E-slap me if I'm wrong.

I feel I have pretty good judgement, though I've only been here since November.

^ There is a 18 year old age requirement to become a moderator if you've seen the stuff on the TN Jobs site.

I only applied after reading that. I'm not expecting to get in but if they run out of options, I'm there.

I tried to apply but there was something funny with that jobnet thing. Everytime I've tried to do something with it concerning my username its never worked out. I'm a little short on freetime right now anyways so I'm not too beat up on the matter.

Well, the age requirement is really not flexible. However, I meant that if you're younger (at least 18), may have been on this site for only a few months, and not as active as others might be that I would definitely consider you, because I originally said I'd give preference to people who were older and more seasoned on this site.

Well, I think you have the wrong idea of what the purpose of being a staff member on this site is all about. Although I too am not a staff member, it's obvious to see that all these guys helping out the site are doing this to make sure everyone at the site enjoys it and has a good experience. Being part of staff probably also gives you a sense of pride that you are contributing to a site like TN. It might not seem like the funnest job, but you are giving to others without getting paid in the process. All these staff members are trying to give you a good time, even if it's not "fun".

Thanks for the spam, Drew.

Moderating isn't all that fun... do you think I get a rush on closing other posts and banning other members if I have to do it? No. And, contrary to what it may seem, Andrew doesn't either (you have no idea how much that comes up between him and I).

They share the common interests as you, and they are members as well, so the pressure is also on them to contribute even more to this site.

The only thing satisfying is that you put work into this site, and to have it pay off with the members visiting and participating.

Erik was brought in to replace a speedzone editor and has been one for almost 3 weeks now... he's not a story editor.

Well if I was old enough maybe I would apply, but there's nothing I can really do right now to contribute back to TN.

I'm still sorting through the editor's job and picked one... I also have a moderator picked out. But, what few other apps I seen were people below the age requirement for being a moderator.

I know the minimum age requirement for Mod's is 18. I am 16. If you ever need any help or need any possitions filled, I will be more than willing to help you out. If you don't get anyone that is able to be a moderator, I would gladly be one. I do understand that there is an age requirement for a reason so that is why I am not applying. If you would like me to apply, let me know.

Wow, your only 16? I thought you were a lot older when we were playing that game! You'd be a great mod.

At this point... I would like a moderator from abroad, like Europe. I need coverage in our mornings/early afternoons, when typically it's their evenings.

Also, just because you are a moderator on another site does not mean that can give you a leg up on ours. We have several processes that need to be followed, and there is a maturity factor that does come into play on our site versus others. In the past, we've had moderators that were around 15-16-17, and did not work out for us.

For editors, I am continuing to accept applications, but you will have to IM me since the email system isn't quite working (yet). That age requirement is 16, and if you're looking at becoming a moderator, at least gets you to see how we work from within somewhat.

That's fine. I am going to get into the swing of school and see how things are going and then I might apply to be an Editor. maXair140, what made you think I was older? Just wondering.
