They probably use a chainlift of some sort. Maybe sorta something similar to the Boomerang caosters. I don't know for sure.

I don't understand, would the car just coast back and forth until it came to a stop? I'm glad they won't build that, its a huge eyesore.

I don't think they've rejected it completely. As I understand it, there will be another meeting in a few weeks when a final decision will be made. Don't give up hope yet!

now that is one ugly looking coaster. I not suprised the people rejected the idea. There is that fish hook thing that we all heard about a long time ago (notice the shape of the track).

The people WERE supposed to get on half way up the verticals pike and a chain would take them the rest of the way up.

That looks rubbish, I thought it would have been a complete circuit coaster, i mean all its got going for it is the height but the fact your enclosed would mean u wouldnt even get the wond rushing through your sails.

I think it is a good idea to have the cars closed. Look at all the bugs MF has. Just think of that only 120 MPH. I dont think it is an eyesore either. I looks pretty cool to me.

That sucks so bad that they disapproved it! My Grandma lives outside Vegas, and I could've ridden it a lot.

Maybe, if the track wasn't that ugly yellow, it wouldn't look so bad, I mean, I love the colors of V2, but not on something that big.

I remember when that was supposedly a coaster, now its nothing more than a glorified freefall ride, and now its just another lost idea, assuming things don't change for the better. I have to admit, its the wierdest freefall I have ever seen and I'd probably not ride it on account of my acrophobia...Pitfall at Kennywood was enough to do me in, I didn't like the idea that I could cover Thunderbolt up with my hand, thus I greyed out. (strange that I love coasters of any height...at the moment Nitro being my tallest, and I loved it, and that darn Turbo Force, I can't get over that thing, I love that flat ride).

I can also see how it could be considered an eye sore on the city too, and I guess that is what they are contemplating.

I don't think it would have been a good idea for the following reasons:

1. Low capacity
2. High Loading time
3. Long lines

It does look like an amazing ride, but would you wait in that huge line for a glorified freefall, as Drachenfire96 put it?

i dont think there would be a huge line i mean look at the big shot it never has a line even though you could see this more so the line might be a little longer

That blue "track" is actualy supports for the ride when it crosses the streat. As for how it loads, its a lot like Intinman's 1st generation free fall rides. You load at ground level and are taken up like an elevator (not laying on your back, but siting strait up) and at the top, you will make a turn and go down the drop. once you go up the 400 ft tower you go on to the breaks at the botom and the track seperates and you are moved into the loading sation.

Well I think they could improve the carts by replacing the glass or whatever it would be with steel mesh with tiny hole so you could still feel the wind and a diiferent color its not the worlds largest banana is it??? :D  :D

Wow, that really makes the tower look delapitated. I think that the pic and train is awesome but that ride looks like one huge mess.

Just wondering, is the drop going to be like a 1st generation freefall and a supreme scream or a face first oblivion type of drop?

It looked like a good ride and its too bad that they won't allow it. I just wonder how they could get it to go backwards up a 750 ft. That is a really long way to drop...I wonder how it would feel? Oh well, its back to the drawing board.

A "elevator type pice of track would raise the train up like an elevator on the other side of the tower. BTW the train would stay parellel to the ground

I am just speculating here, but maybe the only feasible way to reduce the screaming noise of the passengers is to enclose the ride vehicle. We have all seen track enclosures to reduce screaming noise for nearby residential areas (Ghostrider, California Screamin') but enclosing the Arrow fishhook track with a similar covering would destroy the incredible view and overall experience. It is true that enclosing the vehicle with a transparent covering would reduce the intensity (the wind in your hair, etc.) but it is a better alternative compared to the cancellation of the project due to noise.
