Viper (SFGAdv)was open!!! Sept 28!!!!!

As topic. Viper was open Sept 28th. It was a Friday. A person i am in class with told me he went to SFGADV (his first time) didn't know anythink about this. Told me he rode Viper. He wasn't just saying that because he said he didn't ride chiller because they were only running one train. I was like! What!!!! Why!!! The day he went was a perfect day. Very very low crowds and road Nitro twice without getting off. Just repeating and saying it Was open. Could this be a possible sign of them trying to reopen this? Who knows.

You might want to give people more than an hour to respond. If people don't want to reply, then they won't. Bumping the topic up won't help anything.

I have no way to prove it, but I doubt that Viper was open. No offense, but your friend probably made a mistake.

I'd LOVE it if someone could prove me wrong on this!

I'm sorry, but I don't believe you or your friend. I am quite sure Viper was not open. Your friend was either BSing you or just confused the names of the coasters.

Yeah, and my friends who went to SFGADV swore to me up and down that they rode Viper this summer. We all know the truth in that one...

They weren't playing a trick on me they were co-workers over the summer who had no idea how obsessive I am about coastesr. :)
All I'm trying to say is it's understandable that the GP can and does make mistakes about coasters from time to time.

Chilled pointed out that his best friend always confuses Medusa and Viper, and that's understandable. They both have a snake theme, and they are located next to each other. I'm just doubting that they would open the coaster randomly this late in the season, thats all.

The "Evil" princess is right. Many a time have I seen people point at the "yellow" and purple "thing" and say, there's Viper!

Last Friday, it was very possible to ride Chiller without getting off. The station never filled. The only row that required waiting was the front and back.

I really don't see how you can ever be happy that they get rid of a coaster, even if it isn't a better coaster, it's still better than just a blank patch of grass, I mean, I don't remember Viper having a huge footprint, who's to say that they'd build a coaster in it's place? Maybe they'll put up a few more souvineer stores there and another place to eat, I'd rather have a coaster than that. Anyway, I could just be saying that because I thought Viper was a fun coaster.

About believing Medusa's source, I'm not going to say either way, but I encourage Medusa to get all the info from that person possible. It's possible that it was just a mistake, but it's also possible that it's genuine. I won't jump to conclusions yet.

I have to make my self more clear when i post. Viper wasn't open. I know it's fun to speculate though. Some of my closest friends work on Rolling Thunder and Medusa. I'm at the park once a week. I used to be the lead at both of these rides. Viper sits in the middle. It would be fun if it was open though. It is a rollercoaster! Viper isn't open.

I was at SDGADV on the 29th and Viper was closed, and it looked like it hadn't been open in some time.

why dont you ask your friend what the coaster he calls viper looked like and what the restraints were like.if he describes the real vipers restraints, you know its true b/c you cant see the trains and hes never been to the park before

Well I thought the same thing when my friend said that he got stuck on almost every roller coaster at SFGADV. Though I still don't know if that's true, I wouldn't really bet on this case being true. He could be lying or confused. It's possible that it's true, but it seems highly unlikely.

I'll tell you what - Though I thought I was going to SFGADV. last friday, I didn't, because my mom was too sick. However, I'm pretty sure I'm going this friday. I'll be sure to pass by Viper, and I can give you some idea of its state...I don't have any real proof either way as of now (though there was something on www.coasterforce.com that said that Viper was being replaced by a V2), but that's the best thing I can offer.

As for Viper itself, let's say that I won't be jumping for joy over its supposed demise, but I wouldn't mind seeing a V2 or Deja Vu in its place ;)

My friend's friend "rode" Deja Vu in June! I hate it when people lie when we know the truth.
