| Knott's Sky Tower Gets New Paint Job !
Knott's Sky Tower, once home to the Parachute Sky Jump and currently the Sky Cabin, is apparently recieving a new patriotic paint color scheme. As of now, it is all white, waiting for its red - white - and blue wavy stripes. I myself am disappointed at this move. Although being patriotic is good, it comes to a point where it gets too extreme and this is one way of seeing how it is taken over the line. This new color scheme will in no way compliment or even blend in with The Boardwalk look and theme. The radiant colors before that matched The Boardwalk perfectly. And I'm also worried at how Xcelerator will change the area's look by replacing the beach colorful Windjammer. www.westcoaster.net www.knottsthrills.com |

I don't quite know how this has anything to do with American Coasters.

I think this should be moved to flat rides (although it does mention X-C). I don't know why this sudden rash of Patriotism, shouldn't we always be like this? This just goes to show the fact that most americans take there freedom's for granted, and need a reason to be patriotic once again. Anyway, I think that it is there descion to make and if they want to do that they can. They can always change it later, and I think it wil be short lived, possibly the next season or two. They could want it to stick out of the park as when your on the street you can not really see the rest of the themeing inside the park and it would show the GP on the street that KBF and CF are Patriotic. As for X-C, you shouldn't be worried because it is not your park and you are only one person compared to the others of millions of people who will be thrilled it's there. It will be well themed and the Dinner themed Sation will work very well with the evolution of a Boardwalk theme KBF has going. The colors of the coaster itself are very reminiscent of the 50's and having a Drag race theme is going to be perfect (although the name could be changed to something better) for the overall theme of that area and the type of roller coaster it is going to be. I do admit I liked the color scheme of Windjammer, but it is gone and the park is changing like it or not. I think they want to change the theme they gave that area for Windjammer because they want to move on and get on with the park bringing new and exciting things to the park while still keeping it well themed pact with thrills. Those are my 2 cents and if you don't like them, sorry.

I believe Xcelerator's theme is reminescent of the 1950s seaside boardwalk scene. It seems very evident now that Knott's has seperate eras of surf culture that California has had since the 1920s in their The Boardwalk area. - Perilous Plunge represents the 1920s California Harbor look - Supreme Scream represents the extreme ultra modern boardwalk - Xcelerator with its 1950s seaside look |

See, i told you. Another thing is HammerHead is Supossed to represent under the sea/ in the ocean, or at least I'm trying to make it fit in to a theme cause it doesn't work for the 20's theme very much and the Modern thrillwalk (that's what I call it, got something better tell me and I'll use it) is on the other side. Boomerang is also part of the thrillwalk, I belive although it is right there where X-C is going, and it really doesn't have a theme other then the boomerang theme(which is nothing).
