Slingshot To Replace King Cobra?!?!?!

There seem to be parts lying in PKI's parking lot now. I know they said that it would be replaced by an un named attraction in 2003, but there are parts in the parking lot for a Sling Shot..Mainly it's supports.

I hope it isn't replacing KC. Maybe it's just going to some other part of action zone like right by the skycoaster. I hope that's where it is going and it's not replacing KC. Do you have al link to the article about KC being taken down?

I don't have a link, but there are small cranes in the park taking it apart, so it will be gone by opening day.

I'm pretty sure a sling shot is 2 vertical towers w/ a bungie chord connected to them. You sit in side a little cage and they pull a lever and it shoots you up past the towers and you flip around on the way up and down. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that but I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

That would go good next to Xtreme Skyflier and Drop Zone.

A slingshot would be a good replacement for King Cobra. Although they might decide to put it somewhere else in the park.

I always hear people say that but no park ive ever seen has relocated a ride to a different location in the park. if there have been parks that have done this, please list them because i dont think anybody has ever done that before.

Ohhh sry, i read it wrong, i know what you mean now :) but i still dont know if anyones taken a ride they have and moved it to a diff. location.....PM me if there is one

I'm pretty sure CP moved some flat rides so they could use the land to build MF, but has any park actually moved a big ride such as a coaster, water ride, or dark ride to a different location in the same park? I'm pretty sure no park has.
Also, what company makes these sling shot rides?

CP moved some rides to make Raptor and got rid of a water ride to make it 2 and some parks have moved small (kid) coasters for bigger rides :)

Cedar Point has moved Wildcat I think 2 or 3 times since it has been there. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also Cedar Point just moved the Ferris Wheel to make room for the queeline for Millenium Force.

I dont think that theyll put a slingshot in the KC spot. I just dont think they would use action zone space for that.
