Willard's Wizzer @ PGA & SFGAm

I know these two rides are now defunct, but what rides replaced these two "Speed Racer" Shwartzkopf coasters? They looked really fun, and I mostly hear about them being family coasters, but they looked really intense. And they seemed like a lot of the track was up in the tree-tops. And I know a similar one - Zambezi Zinger @ Worlds of Fun was removed prior to 2000 so they could install a Vekoma Boomerang. Anybody have a say on these rides?

Willard's Wizzer @ SFGAM is still operating as Wizzer. It is a fun family ride that uses the trees to great effect.

Whizzer!!!!!!!!!!

The Wizzer was my very first major roller coaster and it is still one of my favorites. Definitely the best Schwartzkopf ride you'll ever find. The spiarl lift is extremely unique and I believe one of the last (if not the last) existing in North America. The banking on the track is very extreme for being a family ride, and you can litterally reach out and touch the ground on some of the turns. I've heard many rumors of SFGAM removing this ride soon, and I must say that if they do for no good reason, I will never visit the park again - and right now it is my favorite (yes, even better than Cedar Point!).

Just my thoughts.

Thats right, Willard's Whizzer at SFGAM is still in operation, only its known as plain old "Whizzer." Its also the only Shwartzkopf 'Speed Racer' to have 4 cars per train, and each car is self propelled as it climbs the spiral. Thus, making Whizzer the only coaster of its kind left in the world. Whizzer is by no means intense, but it is however a really fun ride as they made awesome use of the landscape at SFGAm:

SFGAM probably won't remove Whizzer anytime soon, because it takes up very little land, its a park favorite and a great 'starter' coaster, and its so unique. They would be very stupid if they did. Chances are, the next coaster to be removed from SFGAM is Shockwave, unfortunately.

It appears to be a jet star 3 with custom track stuck on. Definatly a classic ride that shouldn't be removed ever.
