I don't think we'll ever run out of ride names. People are always coming up with some interesting names. If we ever do run out, it'll be in a LONG, LONG, time.

I don't really think we are running out of good names yet. I bet in the next decade we'll start running out of good names. I think we've already used all of the super hero names up lol (batman and superman)

I'm sure there are plenty of new, good coaster names left. But lately they seem to be picking from the old, tired, variation on a theme list instead...

Let's see...

The Shuttle Coaster
The Floorless Coaster
The Multi-Looping Coaster
The Stand-Up Coaster
The (insert product name here) Stand-Up Coaster
Superman : Final Flight
Superman : Kryptonic Escape
Superman : Smalltown
Batman : The Ultimate Ride
Batman : The Batmobile
Batman : Gotham Madness
Robin : Sidekick the Ride
Penguin : The Ride
King Tut : The Ride
Egghead : The Ride
Ma Parker : The Ride

Aw crap, I think I just gave Six Flags some ideas. I think the superhero/villain theme will go on for quite a while :( .

Well, I agree that many "better" names are copied, though some parks are starting to copyright names to prevent that kind of marketing (IE: Raptor, Millennium Force). I like how Busch Gardens and a few other parks really use themed mythology, because that gives the coasters a lot of character and a backstory for some really great logos as well as unique names. I doubt we'll ever run out of coaster names, any more than we'll run out of people's names.

People will probably start thinking of very strange names. Like Big Bad John, and personally, I would have never thought of Millennium Force.

Trivia of the day by Haux:

Alien@SixFlags, there's already another Kumba around, as if you didn't know. It's a Vekoma SLC and it's located at Superland in Israel. Weird, huh?

I don't think we're gonna be running out of names in the near future. Six Flags might, but we're sure to see more creative names as the years go by. Just wait and see. There are going to be some great names out there like Bench: The Ride or Paper Towel.

Definetly not, There are many languages to translate Roar into. well, the truth, there are TONS of names not used but it's just a matter of if the park can make it work the name's marketability. How many of you would ride Death: the Ride? (I know I would) A better question is how much of the GP will actually ride it? There are many ride names it's just a matter of who can come up with them.

isn't this kinda like asking if they'll ever run out of good book titles, or good movie names? seems to me creativity will be the source of many a good coaster name for years to come.

it up to the parks how creative they want to be. there isn't a limited number of names. someone should buy six flags a dictionary though.

Like said before, we aren't going to run out of names for roller coasters. If we DID run out, not that we will, all we would have to do is go on to another language. It's nothing to be proud about, but most people in America can't speak a second language, so who's really going to know? Anyway, Spanish and Japanese names like El Diablo and Dodonpa are pretty cool.

I agree that I don't really see them ever running out of names.

I mean not until there is a coaster named and themed after the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie COMMANDO. You would be permitted to break the guy sitting next to you's neck, and then tell the ride op "Don't disturb my friend, he's DEAD tired."

Good Coaster names will never run out. A great marketing department will take care of it.

I think that possibly some latin names could be added... that would be weird... like fast in latin... i don't know what that means but it would sound pretty sweet

Even though it seems six flags parks have run out of names, (how many batmans are there now???) there is no way that the world could ever run out of names. I'm more concerned that will run out of airspace to put in all these coasters.
Ok ok, check this out, i'm six flags . . . BatmanandSupermanUltimateRideOfDarkKnightFlightOfX-FlightDarkV2theEscapeofRiddlersRevengetheRideCoast-to-CoasterNinjatheRide . . . . . u just wait a few years . . . ull see . . .
