Skyrider Roll Back

Hi,

Skyrider, the TOGO stand-up at PCW rolled back between the trick track and the turn before the bunny hops. It was the yellow train that rolled back. I'm not exacally sure when this all occured and why it did because it usually has plenty of speed, but my guess is it either happened Saturday, or in the early morning on Sunday. Around 10:30 on Sunday, when I was in that area, you could see a crane looking thing in the middle of the path.

The coaster being so old and rough, it finally valleys... :D

Since it's a high speed part of the ride it's not common to valley... so it's likely the train fails...

However... Deja Vu valleys much more often than Skyrider...

I don't think one valley warrants replacement......and if it does there better be a new coaster coming in to replace it or what is already poor ride capacity will get even worse. Plus I enjoy the skyrider....so i personally would like to see it remain.

I know it didn't happen on Saturday, as I was working all day, and would have seen it.

It probably happened early Sunday

And whether it rolled back or not, look for it to be gone within the next few years anyway... get your rides in while you can...

Skyrider valeyed on Friday as well then, it occured in the spot mentioned above. I saw it when i was at the park on Friday.

Friday was a rough day for the park. The Wild Beast did not make it up the hill after the drop and was caught by the roll back device. I saw it stuck there for a while. When i went to the spot later in the day, the train was gone and it did not open again.

Also, Dragon Fire was not operating at all. I'm not sure why.

The fly was having it's usuall problems and was shut down on and off through out the day. The parks ride director, said that the breaks were catching too hard and therfore locked the other breaks of the coaster, because the cars were too close.

Drop Zone was also closed for the entire day due to the extremly high winds.

Mindbuster and Top Gun recieved new videos as well.

Try Sunday...

I wonder what's going on with Skyrider. Twice in one weekend. That's really surprising.

On Sunday, surprisingly a lot of the rides were running with the exception of a few. Wild Beast, Skyrider (of course), Drop Zone, Speed City Raceway, and Spinovator were closed. I'm probably missing one or two on that list. Feel free to add on. It should be noted that it was pouring that day.

You should have ridden The Fly on Sunday!!! Wow!!! :D I have never gotten such a good ride on it. The brakes were barely catching the cars. And on one of the sharp turns (right after the curved drop towards the end) the brakes didn't even go on. Our car went flying around that curve. Wow!!!

Seems like PCW had a bad weekend :( .

DIE SKYRIDER DIE DIE DIE  !!!

I'm not surprised it valleyed. On passholder night i noticed thatit went very slow through that turn before the bunny hops. if ythey remove it good riddance..the ride sucks. It used to be ok, when it actualy had airtime, but now the incredibly boring and painful ride combined with the capacity lower than britney spears' neckline it just sucks.

To add to the confusion, I've been told by one of my friends who is a lead on WWC, that Skyrider did indeed roll back on Saturday during the morning test runs... but apparently was running again later in the day...?
Which would explain why I saw it operating... I don't know what's going on... lol

But Déjà Vu(s) is a good ride. How ironic is that?
