Moonsault Scramble

I was jsut thinking about this ride, and I have a few questions I want answered.

#1 - Why did fujikaya highlands remove it for dodonpoa when they probably could have just put dodonpoa somewhere else or moved scramble.

#2 - I don't think it was the first hyper, since only the back car passed 200 or the front, but who thinks it is?

#3 - Did anyone get lucky enough to ride it, and if so, how was it?

#4 - What happened to it after its removal?

#5 - I WANT IT IN THE STATES!!!

I have heard that it was a HUGE headbanger. It also pulled 6.2gs, and it was probably the least like ride in the park (This is a total guess). Also, I have no clue about this either, but there might not be room anywhere else in the park. Or they could have plans for those spots for later.

1. Not every park is crazy about coaster counts like CP and SFMM. If a coaster is no longer popular and becomes expensive to maintain, get ride of it, that's the most economical way.

2. In my mind, it's not a hypercoaster, although it's the first coaster to exceed 200 ft. A hypercoaster can not be shuttle. (please, don't argue with this, we already had enough of this, that's just my opinion)

3. It's reputed to be very rough.

4. Scrap yard?

5. Why don't you buy it and put it in your back yard?

Well, the pretzel loop looked pretty intense, and it pulled 6.2g's so I imagine it was kind of rough. I don't really count this as a hyper either. I don't really have an explination why though. After it got removed it was probably recycled.

it was launched so fast that it would have pulled that many Gs anyway. Funny, I thought it pulled 6.7, since it held the record beofre it was removed, and it was still standing when Texas tornado was running, which pulls 6.5

It wasn't launched. It was like a Vekoma boomerang since it had the reverse lift thing. Here's what I know about it. It was designed by Meisho (I think) and constructed by Vekoma. That's why the track looked like Vekoma track and it had the reverse lift. For a while it was pulling those intense Gs but people complained and stuff, so they started not pulling it all the way to the top, maybe 3/4 or 4/5 the way up. After a while they decided to take it down after roughness complaints and high G complaints. I bet the roughness was because it's Vekoma.

#3. There was a thing on the Discovery Channel a while ago where a woman from the State traveled to Japan just to ride it. She got to ride it on the show and it was pretty cool. I don't remember much about it, but she liked it!

I even started a thread called most intence ride or most gs or somthing, and they said that is was Texas Tornado, even if Moonsault Scramble was still open. BTW, was it like a Boomerang where it had a lift on both sides, or just on one?

I think it's manufactuered by Meisho in Japan. The reason why it's so Vekoma-like is because Meisho is Vekoma's partner in Japan. Meisho also builds all the Vekoma coasters and rides installed in Japan. But Moonsault Scramble is Meisho's own venture, with no Vekoma tie. It did use the launching mechanism of Boomerang.

I heard that Moonsault Scramble was a big headbanger, so that's why it was shut down. Does anyone know when it was closed? According to RCDB, it opened in 1983, but it doesn't say when it closed. I do know that Meisho built another coaster, Double Loop, in the park in 88.

Dodonpoa was put in its place. Thats one of the reasons its gone. I heard vekoma designed it and Meisho built it.
