IS Steel Dragon really that good? It looks like it has no scenery, just a giant rollercoaster on an open field. And it looks like its just a bunch of drops over and over, and it might get kinda old while you're on it. If anyone has been on it, please tell me if its good.

I have never been on it, but it only has a 60 degree drop, I think. MF has an 80 degree drop, so it wouldn't be nearly as good as a drop. It is just a normal coaster with a large height. Nothing special about it, but the force is totaly different.
Yes, but it takes awhile to get to 80 degrees and when it reaches 80degrees the drop is like halfway over. Steel Dragon 2000 just looks awsome though it can't get boring after awhile

It looks sorta like they took steel force and inflated it and added a few more turns.

I have ridden it and IMO it is better than MF. The park it is located in is IMO 3 times better than Cedar Point. Everyone was very cheerful and their were practically no lines for any of the rides. Too bad I couldn't even order a drink though. SD2K is a very great ride even with little theming.

I still think that MF is better, but why metion the theming. It is not like MF has any theming either. Just those funky lights in the station.

Wow Titan you are one heck of a traveler!
I think itd be a fun ride but it doesnt look as exciting as MF, which I love. The whole coaster in a parking lot themeing doesnt do it for me. Plus those trains got to be the most hideous looking things!

I personally think the Steel Dragon is an incredible looking coaster, which is essentially broken up into two different types of rides, the first half diving and turning etc in that peculiar figure 8 and the second half is airtime city with those continuous bunny hills back. I envy those that have been on it, and I dream of the day to tackle that ride. by the way, shouldn't this be in world wide coasters?????????

i think it looks like an amazing ride, i think the drop might be better than millenium force, because it is not as stepp the drop is way longer, and its taller anyways... and the second hill is still taller than any hyper.... amazing
You're kidding right? Nagashima Spaland BETTER than Cedar Point?

How can this park even compare to Cedar Point? Yes, I have been to both so I know what I am talking about.

Cedar Point is SO much better landscaped, themed, shows, rides, food, coasters, etc etc etc. If you want to go ride by ride, how about this:

Cedar Point POWER TOWER vs. Nagashima's 3 Leg Space Shot

The winner: POWER TOWER

Cedar Point's location on Lake Erie vs. Nagashima's location on a bay in Japan

The winner: CEDAR POINT

Cedar Point's RAPTOR vs. well..there is no inverted, stand up, bobsled, or tarditional wood out and back coaster to compare to so CP wins again.

If you want to know my opion on SD2K vs. MF, check out my earlier post:
As someone who has actually ridden both coasters, here is my opinion. Again, this is my opinion and i am entitled to it!

Millenium Force is by far the superior coaster. It is steeper, more thrilling, and a better design. It just feels like flying, and the low slung cars add to the excitement.

Sure SD2K is taller, longer, and faster. This does not make it BETTER. It reminded me of Steel Force. I didnt care that it took almost 3 minutes to climb the first hill, but the view is spectacular. The first few drops are fun..and the back half with its helixes are pretty cool.

The cars, however, are big and boxy. It felt like I was riding in a BIG cadillac, not a sleek rocket ship like MF.

Just my opinion, but MF rules my world!

Like I said, it was my opinion. My opinion may change when I go back to Cedar Point next week. When I went, the crowds were horrible and the guests were just plain rude. I was wearing a Texas Giant shirt and tons of people looked at me like I was some kind of punk. When I went to Nagashima Spaland the people were so much nicer. I was wearng a Millenium Force shirt and some people who understood English actually talked to me unlike Cedar Point where I tryed to talk to someone wearing a Goliath shirt and he told me to " ******* off". But this all may change when I go back to Cedar point next week. And it may change again when I go to Fujikyu Highlands next year and ride DODONPA.

SD2K was good, but no where near as good as Millenium Force. It was only 8 feet taller and 3 mph faster. MF is so much smoother, and it has those incredible overbanked curves and the 80 degree drop.
