Hulk - Meant to be Indoors?

I was thinking, and doesn't it seem like the second half of Hulk (after the first corkscrew) was originally meant to be indoors? This whole portion of the ride is, for whatever reason, confined to a small area right next to the queue/station building. This is the only part of park where you can see "backstage", other than at the top of Dr. Doom and Dueling Dragons. It just never quite made sense...

Hmmm, never thought about that. I wish they would put that part indoors,
with fog, lights, and a whole bunch of other cool effects.

No. Willie Munchright said so.

Anyway, that would have to be a huge building.

I always kind of thought that.

The logistics of the second half of the ride are much different then the first (note the trenches at the base of the loop), yet the ride has a signifigant ammount of space between it and the road. Plus, you have the odd slapdash theming with the armored vehicle. Also, consider the odd way the brakes are set up. It just doesn't seem...right/

Kraken just explained to me on AIM why it should be indoors, and it made a lot of sense. Plus it would be a lot cooler that way.

Willie Munchright is my pawn, whom I use to enslave the ignorant masses through healthier eating choices.

One thing that I noticed was the APC...perhaps a military theme once indoors?

for the record-

Note how there's a big chunk taken out of the que so the corkscrew remains outdoors.

Why is everyone thinking that it was meant to be indoors? Obviousely Universal had little room to build on, so the second half was forced to be compact.

But that's the thing-they could have used a different layout that offered more space, but the one they used scrunched the second half into a small space, as if it was intended to have something "more".

Hmm, this is interesting...they could do a lot with it being indoors... maybe they kept it outside so that it would look more appealing towards the road?

You can see it, but it's not displayed in an "appealing" manner...it's just there behind fences and shrubs. If anything, they would have build a building to seperate it from the road.

No, It doesn't look like it was meant to be inside. Do the interlocking corkscrews on many other B&Ms look like they should be indoors? No. It's just the layout. Remember, B:TR was made for a small space, so was this part of the ride. It would be cool indoors, but I don't think it was intended, especially not with so many other indoor type of rides in the area.

It would be cool if it was indoors, and then they had a giant hulk breaking out of a wall.. lots of fog and strobe lights too..

I think if it was meant to be indoors, it would be indoors. They built this ride specifically for IOA, so I can't imagine them changing the plans that much. It's not like it's a clone of a different ride that was indoors.

This is all very interesting. The second you exit the first corkscrew, the entire feel of the ride changes from this grand smooth enormous looping ride to the tight panic driven second half.

Oh man... a BTR inside would kickbutt...
i dont really think they ever wanted to put it inside... it would look ugly... the big box to fit it in.. they might theme it.. but they wouldnt.. look at DD some much themeing inside the line.. but is the station themed on the outside? NO...only one one side.... so if you ride fire when your ride is over your just next to a big white/gray box.... Wouldnt that look nice when your on the boat going from your hotel to IOA and seeing a big ugly box and then the lame DDFF pokeing out just in back,,

McLaren, Kraken responds to certain stimuli in an uncharactoristic manner that does not correspond to what the average person would think.

^Like my attempt at sounding smart?

Anyways, I don't think it was mean't to be indoors. It seems compacted to me, but I'd guess it was for some type of flat ride.

Actually, the sentence is confusing due to the presence of the "in an uncharictaristic manner". Otherwise fine.

And it was originally Incredible_Hulk77 that brought Willie Munchright into the conversation; I love him for it.

I could see it fitting in a building. Look at Flight of Fear...it's got to be comparable in size to that part of the ride, if not bigger.

Maybe at first they did want it inside, so they had it designed that way. Perhaps it was after (or shortly before) construction started that they decided a huge box building would look bad, and then scrapped the idea...

Well i'm sure that they would theme the building... put a advertisment for movies on the side facing the road, then make the the side facing the people look att futuristic with pipes and such, and make it blend in with the queue line building.

That whole compact second half of the ride looked like it could pass off as a coaster in the early 90's if it didn't have a MCBR and added a lift hill.

That has a big boxed building that is slightly themed, and yeah, they would have themed the building like thechiller said.

Does Hulk even have interlocking corkscrews?
I haven't seen the full ride, but from what I read and read of it, Hulk doesn't have them. Accoriding to rcdb, Hulk has 7 inversions:
Inline Twist
Cobra Roll
Loop
Flat Spin
Loop
Flat Spin

As you can see, the two flat spins are seperated by a loop.
