Is Joker's Jinx a clone of Flight of fear?

They look the same, have the same elements and pretty much identical stats.

Yes, it is. There are 5 coasters with the Mad Cobra design:

That's because you've only ridden Poltergeist of those^

Most people say the FOFs are far better because of the themeing, which I will agree with.

Yeah they're all exact clones with the only difference being that they're outdoors with only minimal theming.

Still JJ seems to have become quite popular with the GP now that the OTSR's are gone....the thing had a line all the way near the station steps yesterday when we rode it.

That's a huge line! lol. Are lines usually that short? I love premier coasters. the FOFs also don't have OTSRs. I was pretty sure Poltergeist got them taken of too.

I've been on FOF at PKD, and it blew me away. It was very smooth, and very intense. It's easily one of my all-time favorite coasters. Jokers Jinx was closed when I went to SFA, as was everything else.

It's like a 10,000,000,000 piece puzzle!!! It would be so hard to design this. It is so compact.

That's why everyone likes to ride these types of coasters. The track is so close to each other and you don't know If you are going to hit It. I believe another name for these coasters are "Spaghetti"

I think it is Speghetti Bowl. I like the way speghetti bowls look, so I like the outdoor ones better than the indoor ones, but I have only been on FoF at PKI and I liked it.

^^^ Its the same thing. Spaghetti, Spaghetti bowl. I also like the look of Spaghetti coasters. To see the track go from here to there almost hitting each other is awesome. I guess you can look at it this way. You don't know where you are going, indoors or outdoors.

^Yeah, I agree. Its pretty cool with all the twisted track.

I'm pretty sure the end of S:ROS at SFNE is called as well. Its just a whole lot of awesome, twisted track, and it is so much fun!

I like that, I really really like that.

After "The Beast", FoF was probably my favorite coaster at PKI.

i have been on JJ and both FOFs and i like FOF much better.. i went on PKIs beofor the lapbars.. :-\
but i have been on PKD and SFAs with lapbars and bars are much better.. the only thing that sucks on FOF is it has the MCBR that JJ doesnt have.. and in 2002 FOF was STOPPING on the MCBR.........so you had a few very slow turns before getting some speed back.... JJ flys around its track...

why do they have a mcbr on fof at pki?
It is so slow loading due to the unusual location of the safety strap. They send a train out ever 3 - 5 minutes. RCDB claims 2000 pph capacity, that is hog wash. They are lucky to get 800 people on the ride in a hour.

The reason for the MCBR on the FOF's because they were designed to operate three trains so you need to have a block brake somewhere in the ride.

JJ only operates two trains so there's no need for an MCBR.

Themingwise FOF is better but for actual intensity I'd be inclined to say the SF installtions (JJ & Poltergeist) are the better rides.

On the SF versions there's no MCBR to halt the train so you just go tearing through that whole maze of track at top speed & the ride just becomes a total blur at that point.....on FOF even without the 3rd train running you hit the MCBR & are jerked to a complete halt before it gets going again, same thing happens on Anaconda as well.
