| Whirlyfly
I was reading a book on coasters and it talked about the whirlyfly which is the mix between ferris wheel and rollercoaster and it said that noone is sure that it ever came through.all I could gather from it it was bound for Coney island NY Did anyone else evere here about it? |

I have seen artwork of the ride. It shows like a 3 car wheel on a little coaster track The photo is in a few coaster books. Ill look over my coaster books and see if I can scan it.

I dont think it was every made. But from what the artwork showed it was just like 3 box cars of a wheel maybe 10 feet tall. each box car held like 2 people and thetrack looked like it maybe had a 2 foot drop... lol

yeah, i have a book that mentioned that. It is a good concept. Maybe some company might make a better version.

sounds like fun.but the reason there isnt anymore is due to people that have died on it.

The have? Where was the news on that? It said in the book by Robert Coker is that it's not confirmed if it was even built.
