What Arrow Looper has the loudest lift hill?

Question, out of all the arrow loopers out there, which one has the loudest lift hill

Aren't they all loud? I yet to see ANY Arrow multi-inversion coaster with a quiet lift hill. Heck, even X produces a really loud clanging sound as the trains climb the lift.

^Totally agreed, they're all loud. I honestly don't really remember from year to year about the loudness of a ride's lift. Its one of the least important aspects of a ride to me.

PKI's Vortex has an annoyingly loud lift, although all Arrows are loud.

They're all loud, but I remember Shockwave at SFGAm's lift hill being excessively loud. Magnum is not a looper, but it still counts... it's extremely loud.

Even Titan's lift is so noisy that you can hardly hear yourself talk. Even if you've been on all steel coasters, it is still virtually impossible to tell which one is the loudest.

I love the sound of Arrow chain lifts. PR still has the arrow lift. I find it the sound of summer.

They are all loud, but isn't that why we love them?

It's because Arrow didn't use noise dampeners or anything on their lift systems, chain dogs, etc. Just steel, and it's noisy.

Vortex @ PKI & Cyclone @ Carowinds are pretty loud. I can't recall any others at the moment.

I would have to agree on Shockwave at Great America.. that was extremely loud but a good welcome sound to coaster fans at the entrance gate.

You can hear Magnum's lift all the way from corkscrew, which has got to be the loudest arrow looper lift there is. Not to mention slow and boring as is the ride.

Gasm @ SFGadv and Magnums lift hill are extremely loud but who cares it helps build up the anticipation!

Loch Ness is really loud but I think that adds to the whole ride experience.

It sounded like: "Chop,chop,chop,chop,chop....." That's GASM and all the other ones. I guess that's one reason there's all that sound effects in the Adventure Express lift hill to the station. It's got to be the worst @ SFMM with two Arrows - X & VIPER right next to each other. The frequency of that occurring separately even simultaneously is so great. It's where you could hear the most Arrow "lift chops" in the world!

My favourite coaster of all time, Dragon Mountain, has a moderately-loud lift. For a few seconds, you can't even hear the lift because of the interlocking chains.

If we can choose (they're all really loud), I'm going with X. It's the loudest lift hill I've ever heard.

See I could probably do the same thing too. "Search" and look up my answer I gave a few years ago. We've been here awhile and seen quite a bit. It's that good old coaster offseason hiatus kicking in. Pretty much any topic will come up the next few months.

Anaconda comes to mind, now THAT is a loud lift hill. Especially when the train first engages the lift. I normally try to cover my ears as it is extremely loud.

Why bother to install a launch horn when a loud lift could tell everyone a coaster is moving in the vicinity?

Viper at SFAW. The lift will almost make you go deaf, it'll also give you a headache.

I'll vote for Dragon at Ocean Park in Hong Kong, just to be difficult. I haven't been on it of course, but it's got two lifts, so the sheer quantity of clacking has to be pretty impressive.

Do the old "built-with-Arrow-technology" Vekoma loopers count? If so, Whirlwind at Knoebel's had a whopper of a loud lift. It did a single thunderous "CLANK!" when the train topped the lift. You'd sometimes see people on the ground who weren't used to it snapping their heads around, thinking something horrible had happened. It was even more unnerving from inside the train, of course.

I've been on Dragon @ Ocean Park, I have pics at home to prove it too... It actually isn't too loud actually, neither lift I mean.

Yeah but I was just randomly looking through some of my old posts, and I saw that thread title and thought it was funny that this topic had just recently been posted. ;)

Anaconda or Loch Ness Monster take the cake.

The quietest Arrow looper lift hill would have to go to Tennessee Tornado.

I do remember GASM's lift being extremely loud. and the ride it self is painful. The only arrow mega loopers i will now ride are Vortex and SFMM's Viper.

In my first post I said Anaconda got my vote.

I agree. Loud lift hills are great, although Millennium Force's one is so smooth!
