What's the difference between an Arrow and a Morgan Hyper?

Both companies have similar track designs on their hyper coasters, so what is the difference?

Enough with the Arrow threads-Arrow&Morgan threads.

We all realize you like Dragon Mountain, a rough and old Arrow looper. I wonder how we know this?

Seriously though, Morgans have trains that are slightly more comfortable and they are usually smoother than Arrow coasters, since they have a better overall track design. The wheel system is still poorly designed, but they have better lead-ins and lead-outs etc.

To sum it up:

With the exception of magnum, all Morgans are probably better than all arrows.

I would disagree since Arrow is never a wuss with the G forces.

/\ Fine. Arrow Hypercoasters are much more dynamic, have personality, are a little bit more rugged, but have very poor transitions.

Morgan Hypercoasters are generally speaking, better engineered coasters, sport more comfortable coaches, but lack in dynamic forces in comparison to Arrows.

How's that to answer the original thread question? ;)

Are we in 1999 in this thread? Wait it's 2005. I've had a more memorable time on a Morgan than on an Arrow hyper. The poor transitions on an Arrow are true - I remember the trims at the turnaround on Magnum.

Dragon Mountain, what is up with that ride? I've been on it, multiple times, and I still just don't get what that coaster's point was. How can I describe it, ah yes, if I was in my house and planned on doing 2 backflips in my living room and then a couple somersaults in my adjacent kitchen . . . I'd so the flips and then go straight for the kitchen and finish with the rollovers. I wouldn't Dragon Mountain doing the flips and then walk up and down the stairs, around the dinner table, outside and circle a tree 5 times, climb a fence, climb it again, once more, cover my eyes for a half minute, and then traipse back over to the house and then delight in somersaults. This world needs coasters that get the job done.

Morgan Hyper = Arrow Hyper - (intensity)^2

Phantom's Revenge, still has a lot of Arrow in it, besides, how could anyone screw up a coaster with a 160 ft drop followed by a deuce-thirty at 85 mph?

Arrow coasters, pretty much in general, don't tend to worry about smooth, elongated curves. That's why Tennessee Tornado feels so strange. Arrow's transitions feel very angular, like if Ron Toomer wanted a 30* directional change - he'll give it to you in 15 feet of track. Steel Force vs. Magnum XLCC, great way to compare and contrast. Similar stats and features, though Magnum tends to whip you off you seat with more force, it's return bunny hills are more triangular in shape as opposed to SF. which uses a rounded shape producing a subtle floater lift. Steel Force is smoother, too, not completely sure why, maybe they've made changes in their rolling stock. Though, Phantom is etherealy smooth and it still uses the same trains, just with a modified chassis.

Hey CHILLERLC1 . . I don't remember those trims, they seem to turn off magically when you're a CP employee and you know the Magnum crew. It is violence with those trims off. Obviously the bunny hills hit much harder, but that turn after the trims just feels wrong, I don't think an Arrow coaster was ever meant to have laterals so strong.

Dragon Mountain, Kristafon4 just might be more intelligent than you. YOU LIVE RIGHT BY MARTIN'S FANTASY ISLAND!!! How have you seemed to miss the Silver Comet? That is true quality CCI wood coaster. You must ride it. In about half as much track as Dragon Mtn, Silver Comet makes a joke out of the Dragon.
