Goliath@LaRonde / Goliath@SFOG

On a Quebecoise board, we did a pool to know wich coaster was the best, Goliath@LaRonde or Goliath@SFOG. We did the same thing on a European forum and the results were totaly different. On our board Goliath @ La Ronde won and on the European Forum Goliath @ SFOG won...

I did this poll just to know what the members of this board think of the two MegaCoasters.

Sorry for the English...

My vote goes for Goliath@LaRonde , for the supposated airtimes and the layout!

Just from the looks.. I would say SFOGs because it has more to it. But the only 2 things I like about it are it has a helix.. And the over-banked turn thing. But I still cant wait to ride LRs in the summer. :)

I said Goliath @ SFoG because It has more than just hills (the heilix- which by the way looks like it will pack a lot of Gs) and the layout is better. I like how it's really spread out (seems to fit B&M hypers very well) and goes over the road. Is that road a freeway? That would be awesome to be able to drive under a hypercoaster or to even go over a bunch of cars going 65+ (usually about 75+ lol).

Yes the Helix looks like it will be very good. Goliath@La Ronde will have an overbanked at the end and also the horseshoe that will be excellent with the speed of half-layout...

The 2 will be very good and I can't find bad points on them except the 175' and 200'!

Nope, not a freeway. Interstate 20 is a just a little farther north. That road is the driveway kindof thing to the main parking lot. I was one of those people who were really hoping for an under-the-road tunnel, but it's still pretty cool, though.

Actually, Autoroute 20 is to the south of the park......

Anyways, since we are going on design, I will say LaRonde, looking at the airtime and G's its gona pull.

Sorry to get off topic, but how is that call free if long distance charges apply? Free usually means no cost at all.

Anyway, I dont care which one is better, I'm just looking forward to my annual family trip to Montreal so I can finally have a reason to go back to LaRonde.

Well.. Most cell phones dont make you pay long distance anymore... So I could call on my cellphone from Boston to VA and not get a fee.. Where if I called from my house I would.

Oops.........after re-reading the thread....I just realised you were talking about the Georgia park.....for some reason I thought it was La Ronde (which has an Autoroute 20 nearby). My apologies......

SFOG's has more too it... the placement itself and the helix are why i vote for it. Both are awesome, but as others have said.. i think SFOG's as it looks will be better (Please! Please no Trims!)...

I'll take the La Ronde one, just because it looks like it has more airtime. Apollo's Chariot doesn't have much to it either, but it is in the top 5 due the the insane airtime.

The La Ronde one is gonna be airtime heaven, but the SFOG one is longer, taller, and has more to it than just hills. Judging by the pics, SFOG looks just a little better. BTW the La Ronde one is in my sig because I go to canada multiple times a year.
