I'm very curious to know what to expect this year from SFWOA IF I GO. I have reand and seen so many pictures of BKF and XF and I am very anxious to know what it is like. Actually, if you go to www.danimation.badnitrus.com, you can download a POV animation of BKF. It looks cool!

Floorless coaster really aren't all that different from regualr sit down loopers. IF you sit in the front it is pretty cool to see nothing but track underneath you, but any other seat it just kinda normal. They are still great coasters, however.

As for flying coasters, they are totally unique. Some people love them, some people hate them. They are very, very intense, I know that for sure. Going through the loop pulls some amazing G's. If you like extreme thrills, you will love them!

I have been on a Flying but I really wasn't loving it. It had many problems with it and was incredibly disappointing.

I love floorless coasters. Lots of leg room and very comfortable seats. The front seats are the best for the "floorless experience" Th only one I've ridden is Medusa @ SFMW and it;s one of my favorites. Flying coasters are also very cool. A totally unique experience. I've ridden Stealth @ PGA and It was cool. I only got to ride it twice but I'm going back to both parks this month to ride some more. |

They're both very different. I have ridden stealth and Medusa(west). Floorless only has a huge affect on the front, while flying is pretty good anywhere depending on how you ride it.(looking down or in front of you)there both pretty good.
---------------------------------------------
Anyone out there rode Hypersonic, Im wondering what thats like?(might post topic)

I like stand up's, anyone else like em'? |

they both deliver great rides. On Medusa west, if you point out your legs it sort of gives you the feeling that you are standing up while falling,it's awsome. As for flying the two good parts are the 180 degree spin at the top of the lift hill and the loop(good g's)
Oh, and front is the best for floorless. Only go on the front. However I dont see any point in waiting in line for the front on stealth etc. because your facing down the entire time anyway.

[ This Message was edited by: narciss on 2001-07-06 20:51 ] |

both are unique coasters, you get the foot chopper effect more so in the front but can get it anywhere, look down while you ride it.
DO NOT miss a ride on BKF in the back or second from back row, this thing whips you over the lift hill, you float in the loop and good airtime after midcourse breaks.
if you are taller you can see over most of the train anyways.
XF is a good ride but i only rode it 2 times because i refuse to wait 2 hours for it, when i could go ride villain, SUE and batman on a week night about 5 times each in that time |

Rode my first Floorless (SFMW's Medusa) last week, and LOVED it. However, it wasn't a particularly unique sensation for me until I rode in the FRONT row, which was AWESOME. The 'footchopper' effect is definitely REAL. However, the 'neck snap' effect is equally real, on certain turns...it reminded me of "FlashBack" at SFMM in that regard. STILL an awesome ride even with a bit of whiplash.

Stealth, the only 'flying' coaster I've ridden. Was INTENSE...I think the shaker for me was how flimsy the buckle seemed. If I'd felt more secure I'm sure I would have enjoyed the ride more. It is definitely a bizzare sensation to be flipped FACE DOWN and know that you're going to be experiencing POSITIVE g's with nothing but fabric and a buckle to keep you from doing a face-plant.
|
