It is a water coaster, but it doesn't have as much track as others. Just the last drop, really.

Rip Saw Falls a water coaster?
This is a real big Pandora's box waiting to be opened. Personally, I think of it is as a flume. It does have some tracks on the main drop and the smaller drop at the bottom of the main drop, but how much are the vehicles actually riding on those rails in that little section of the ride? They are used more the way the traditional bottom rail and the upstop wheels work... to keep the coaster train from flying off rather than giving it a running surface. If the drop would not be as steep OR (mainly?) if that little bunny hop would not be at the bottom, would this thing even need rails? The vehichles are still riding on water, not rails... with the tracks being used for a safety device.
Don't tell me people are going to start counting this in their track records!

You want to argue about Journey to Atlantis (SW) being a coaster... fine, I will agree on that (from the 2nd lift to the final splash down before the statio it is all coaster), but I have a real problem stretching the deffinition of coaster to count Rip Saw Falls.

[ This Message was edited by: SLFAKE on 2001-07-16 12:45 ]

I don't think you can say Do Rights is a water coaster. For a coaster to be a water coaster IMO, it has to have regualr coaster track with no water in some parts. Do Rights doesn't, it has track but it is all over water. So I say no.
