Steel Dragon 2000

I heard this a badass giga in Japan or something 306 ft and 2 more hills over 200 ft. Does anyone have a picture for it? Or know where one is?

as stated...should be in ww coasters, but it's 318 feet tall (taller than MF) and is the tallest/fastest/longest complete circuit rollercoaster currently in operation.

WW coasters stands for World Wide Costers or any coasters not in the United States. This should have been put in that forum and I'll move it there now.

The park is called NAGASHIMA SPALAND and is located in Mie, Japan. I visited the park in March. PLease do a search of previous threads for a thorough review of this ride.

Hmmm, I'm surprised how some people are pretty oblivious of Steel Dragon 2000's existance. Okay, Steel Dragon 2000 opened to the public on August 1, 2000. The giga coaster opened just 2½ months after the debut of Millennium Force (Millennium Force opened to the public on May 13, 2001) to smash 4 world records: longest drop on a full-circuit coaster, tallest full-circuit coaster, fastest full-circuit coaster, and longest full-circuit coaster. Steel Dragon 2000 is about 318 feet tall and has a first drop of about 307 feet long at a 68° angle. The coaster can reach speeds of up to 95 m.p.h.! Steel Dragon 2000 is best known for its airtime and its HUGE out-and-back layout. The coaster is 8,133 feet long. The first three hills on Steel Dragon 2000 are gigantic! They go by this order: 1st hill is 318 feet tall, 2nd hill is 252 feet tall, and 3rd hill is 210 feet tall. The coaster features two tunnels and 7 bunny hops during the home stretch of the ride. The coaster got its name from an ancient Asian zodiac: 2000 was the year of the dragon, therefore Nagashima Spaland decided to appropriately name their coaster after the dragon in honor of the new millennium. Until now, the coaster's strength and power in unrivaled. I'd love to ride Steel Dragon 2000 one day. It seems like an incredibly intense experience. The new millennium brought the world more innovative and revolutionary coaster designs.....
