| New coaster plan scrapped
At my home park, Western Playland in El Paso, Texas, we were supposed to get a CCI woodie. It had a horseshoe-type layout. However, thanks to our brainless, sightless county commisioners we will not get it. Right now, we are giving 7.5% of profits to the county. They wanted 10% because they said that the coaster would be too expensive and would cut profits. This is not true because many more people would be attracted and the entrance fee could go up. Ok, just needed to get that out of my system and let people know that proposed coasters sometimes don't get built.

Eveyone knows that. There is a certain government thingie called a zoning commision. These people controll what, where, and how big things are built. That is why many places can't have hyper coasters: the local height restriction is less than 200 ft.
