Post what rides should be re-painted. I say nighthawk, Afterburn, Thunder Road, and Richochet.

I liked the look of Thunder Road. I think Nighthawk, Afterburn and Cyclone need it most.

They need to fix the restraints on Vortex too. I had to float this summer.

Carolina Cyclone, Ricochet, Afterburn & Nighthawk. I would love to see Thunder Road go back to it's red, white and blue look but sadly i doubt that will happen.

Carolina cyclone definatly needs it the worse. Then I woud say nighthawk. Afterburn could last another year or 2 IMO.

Nighthawk might as well go off the list. It will soon be back to Stealth colors anyway.

Thunder Road is fine the way it is. The other 2 racers both look bad because KI and KD don't keep them painted. Last time (05) I was at KI, Racer looked like an abandoned coaster.

I'd say maybe paint Cyclone & Ricochet this off season. The next off season paint Nighthawk Then Afterburn the following year. I really would like to see all 4 painted by 2010.

You guys can also tell what rides need upgrades like new trains, retract, new parts, etc. I say have intamin retract Hurler with the interlock wood system thing, have vortex's trains replaced, and have nighthawk get new trains. I also say get the creativly named Drop Tower torn down and get a 300 ft tall combo tower.

I'm just not sure anything can save Hurler but you never know. I'd hate to waste the money trying and it turn out to be a bust.

Vortex would be nice if it had some new trains & Nighthawk received new trains or got a complete makeover when it was shipped here in 2004 so i think they are fine for now.

Top...er...Afterburn got some fresh paint last year to cover up some of its spots where it was showing bad. But they didn't do a full paint job.

That used, refurbished one coming from Geauga Lake needs to be painted a rusty color.

The paintjob you describe on Top Gun sounds like the treatment they gave Batman the Ride in 2002 before it got its all yellow and blue paint for 2003. A lot of lower supports got a glossy black coat then.

I think the only coasters that don't need paint are Vortex, Taxi Chase & Fairly Odd Coaster.

Carowinds needs to repaint Nighthawk with white track, a red spine, and grey supports, then move it back to CGA.
