My Backyard Roller Coaster

Hey so recently I have been seeing a lot of stories and videos of people who built mini roller coasters in their backyards, and me and my friend were inspired to build our own so we got to work on it right away.
So far we have 2 pieces of track built, and we are waiting to get more supplies so we can build more track.

We are not sure how long it is going to be yet, we are still experimenting with all this stuff.
I have some pictures already because we set it up and rode it down a mini ramp because we were bored.
The coaster will be a lot more exciting then what you see in the pictures.

click here for all the pictures, including a video of our mini track

by the way, the person in the red shirt is not me it is my friend.

That looks like a good idea for a car, but I think it's too wide. I would cut the board as narrow as to where the wheels are.

Really cool though, I hope you continues this.

I don't know if PVC pipe is strong enough to support a whole car assembly...might want to rethink what you'll be using as track. From my experience PVC pipe is kind of weak.

Another one?!? Just kidding. I would like to build one in my back yard, but don't have the money for materials.

Extra weight and a weaker center of gravity as well as drag may be a few reasons why it does matter.
