Is Raviner Flyer 2 worth riding.

I live 2 hours away from erie, and my dad says i can go there. Is it rough, Ive been on the beast, but the beast also has headrests. Ive also been on villain. Will i survive this one without hurting my head or neck, and how much does it cost to get into waldameer? I heard they have a mauhrer sohne spinning coaster.

Its made by GG which makes great coasters their rides typically aren't as rough as other woodies.

Waldameer is a nice place, and Ravine Flyer is quite a sick (and for the most part, smooth) ride. Last May we made a stop there on the 6 hour drive home from Cedar Point, and we're definitely planning to go back this year. It's worth it, for sure.

Ravine Flyer two is worth the admission alone. I have yet to ride it, but my husband said he loved it!! My 7 year old son even rode it and loved it.

Take the two hour drive and get some new credits.

The ride is only going into its 2nd season of operation. It put Waldameer back on the map. It is an amazing ride. It's a must ride.

If it was that bad of a ride, we would tell you. They have no headrests, therefore you would have no neck issues.

Does Son of Beast hurt your neck? Cause if it doesn't, you can ride pretty much anything. SoB is about as bad as it gets.

SOB was closed when I went. The train incident happened a week earlier, I went in 2006.

How would having no headrest make the ride better for me?

Look. Three people have told you to get out to Waldameer and ride it.

Gravity Groups wooden coasters are about as smooth as butter. The only smoother woodie I have been on is a GCII.

So, stop asking so many questions, take the leap to Erie and ride it!

The headrests are something for your head to hit off of on a rough ride (I have never had that problem) A coaster with no head rests means less of a chance to hurt your neck. Not that was ever a chance of happening.

I have been hearing a lot of good things about RF2. I think a2 hour drive is nothing ot hit a park or a coaster. SFNE, LC, and Funtown and others are 2.5 hours form me.

I think you've revealed to us that you have a medical condition before right? The ride doesn't jackhammer like Son of Beast. I'd ride the coaster while it's young if you're really concerned about roughness. It's a great coaster.

What im trying to say is im just going to do itm I only live once. Also, It doesnt seem that bad, I just really wanted some feedback because im very excited. I cant believe that I never knew it was only 2 hours away. Im sorry that i havent posted here, Im trying not to favor coasterfusion over you guys, but none of you make music videos like he does.

I don't know about medical conditions, but I've got back problems resulting from a car accident 3 years ago. SoB is the only ride I've ever been on that has bothered it at all. The Beast doesn't bother it, even after riding multiple times in a row.

Strangely, Gemini got me. On that little helix at the end, it jerked to the side just hard enough, and I wasn't prepared for it on one trip, that it did cause my back to hurt afterwards. I blame that on myself though.

Edit: you were posting while I was. You're going to be better off on a coaster with no head rests than you would on one with them, like Beast. There's nothing to bang your head on, and unless you ride like a boneless chicken, your neck shouldn't snap around at all on any ride.

At the end of gemini on the helix my neck snapped to the side, will that happen on ravine flyer.

What type of butter are you using? Land o Lakes which is hard and won't melt? The ONLY GG woodie you could say that about is HADES, and you can't even say that about the entire ride. Voyage is ANYTHING but smooth and I've heard Boardwalk Bullet is quite rough.

I sure hope RF II is smoother than those.

I thought Voyage was very smooth and I rode it three years in a row. I never found it rough. Intense is the word to use on that ride, not rough.

I haven't been down to TX, but I heard they had to seriously retrack BB after just a few months.

From what my husband and a few friends told me on different visits last year that it was smooth as glass. I wasn't able to ride last year as I was about 6 months pregnant. But, I will be able to tell you this year. I am heading up there late June.

If there is a time issue with RFII then before it gets rough, I'd get RFII this season if I only lived 2 hours away.

As a former ride host, I'm just going to say that if you have any doubt about riding it, don't ride it... seriously. Ultimately, it's your decision, and you shouldn't rely on advice from other members. Their judgment of "rough" is different from mine or yours. The only one who can give you true advice is your doctor.

There is a reason in spiels that they say you shouldn't ride if you have heart, back, or neck problems, if you're pregnant, or if you have other conditions that may hinder your ability to ride safely.

Everytime I ride a coaster, it valleys. I've never been on a stalled coaster or had one roll back (except Wicked Twister and what was Superman: Ultimate Escape, which does that by design).

So? Villain was relatively tame, and Beast doesn't have the type of elements or transitions that would really make it crazy (they also trim that ride like crazy), and each coaster is unique in its effects. Gemini (which is a steel coaster but is built on a wooden frame) bent your neck because of the sudden lateral G-force caused by the quick entry into the helix with that sudden transition, not because of its roughness.
