| More Ugly Big Box: Dorney Ice Show or Dark Knight?
Watching Dorney Park construction of a ice skating rink for a Snoopy show I wondered: What is more ugly? This prefab concrete box or the Dark Knight building? I told one Dorney local friend it looks like a warehouse/distribution center you may find along the New Jersey Turnpike for Cedar Fair hamburger pickles. Dorney Ice Show Construction: DPTheatre5.jpg (image) Dark Knight Building: Dark Knight (Six Flags Great Adventure) :: ThrillNetwork.com I wish the timing would have been better for this Dorney ice rink construction. The Philadelphia Flyers sold their AHL Phantoms team this February that used to play in the Spectrum which is slated for demolition at the end of this year. The Flyers would like to have this team playing in the Lehigh Valley in a few years. Would have been great if Dorney built an arena onsite the size of the Giant Center, where the Hershey Bears AHL team play. That arena sits in Hersheypark's parking lot. The old arena, the Hersheypark Arena with its huge archs, still stands in the park next to the Reese's Extreme Cup Challenge.

It's hard to say at the moment. I chose dark night just because I hate the building. The Dorney building is not finished. We don't know what it will look like when it is finished. rarely woudl a building like that be left as is. If the paint it it will look worse. if they add a siding then it will look better.
