| Proslide Bowls and Tornados
I was curious which size bowl and tornado you guys liked best. The only tornado I have been on is ZINGA at Holiday World. It is intense and I like the fact the rafts are already up top via a conveyor. Six Flags St Louis tornaodo rafts have to be carried manually. I haven't done this slide yet but I am assuming it is a smaller version. As far as bowls go I have done the behemoth bowl at Holiday World and the cannon bowl at Dollywood Splash Country. I love them both but have to say the cannon bowl is more intense and speedy althought the tunnel is longer on Bakuli. I can see why the Proslide site says the cannon sized bowls are the best seller. I had thought Dollywood's Splash Country may have wanted to save money but that may not be the case. I am anxious to get to Six Flags St Louis and check out their tornado slide. Just curious as far as thrills go which size eveyone preferred as well as which ones you have ridden. I am waiting for the day to pass and this was on my mind. |

Ive never been on one, but Im hoping to ride Geauga Lake's Wildwater Kingdom's Tornado slide "Liquid Lightning" next week. I havent been to GL since 2003 when it still had the amusement park rides. Im thinkin it will be a good slide, but I dont know what to expect from a tornado slide.

SFWW's Tornado is awesome, especially if you go down the drop backwards. Sadly, the rafts have to be carried manually. That's the only one I've been on.

I don't mind carrying a single or double TUBE up to the slide; however, these parks that make you carry the RAFT that holds four people are asking for trouble in my opinion. My local park added a four rafter ride and its the pits carrying that thing. You see people dragging them plus almost falling since they are heavy. Any four person raft should be using a conveyor. Cudos to Holiday World for doing this on Zinga, Zoombabwe, and Bakuli! It makes for a more enjoyable day. If you don't want to install a conveyor, get the size that only requires a single or double tube I say!

I think SFStL's Tornado and HW's are both the same size. SFI bought a few were you have to carry the farts on your own. SFNE has the large first installed tornado and it has no conveyor. I personally like the more compact tornadoes. Funtown Splashtown USA has a Compact tornado. with tornado with mammoth slide on the same tower.

Im going on my first TOrnado on friday, is there anything I should expect? My friend told me that the more the people on the raft way the higher it goes in the funnel. My friend is really skinny, but the people in the raft with him were really fat. Also, does anyone know if the the Geauga Lake one has a lift for rafts? because I dont want to carry mine

I went on the Tornado at the Boardwalk at Hershey. It was only double tubes, but was a lot of fun. As for bowls, I've been on Barracuda Blaster at Canada's Wonderland. Nothing really special, but I'd love to try the Hydrofluge at Ontario Place where you just drop out of the bottom.
