Your 100th Coaster

I'm reaching a personal milestone today. My fiance and I are heading to Hersheypark and I will be getting on my 100th coaster. I'm torn between Big Bad Wolf and Farenheit being that special number. I love B&M, but I the thought of Farenheit being similar to Maverick makes it win.

How many of you remember your 100th coaster and what was it?

Nitor was my 100th, I think. Although, I'm not entirely sure I kept count correctly. It was pretty awesome because of the 4 across seating, you know.

BIG BAD WOLF! It doesn't get more obvious as an icon is moving on. Supposedly on my paper list The Beast is my #100. I rewrote my list once.

I just hit #350 on Sunday: Runaway Train at Gillian's Wonderland Pier, Ocean City, NJ. Good luck.

If convienence/distance will be in the way of getting #100 and you need to get it at Hershey I'd take Comet or Stormrunner.

My 100th was SheiKra. My 200th was Voyage.

I would make Big Bad Wolf my 100th. Just my choice. If not, then do whatever you want. It's your milestone.

BBW, no question. You won't regret that.
Talon was my 100th, but I should have done Steel Force. Voyage was 150.
Right now I am at 193, which is extremely irritating, especially since I just had to cancel a trip to CA, which would have put me over the top with Xcelerator.

My 100th was CW's Wild Beast last August. I actually found it to be quite fun, and it's in my top ten wooden coaster list. My current count is 111, and I should be at about 122 - 125 by the end of the year.

Okay now, Big Bad Wolf is not in Hersheypark and it is not made by B&M, which seemed to be your comparison. The only B&M in Hersheypark is Great Bear. If you had a choice of any at hershey, I say make Storm Runner your 100.

Mine was Voodoo.

If I were to pick a 100th coaster at Hershey, I'd pick either Comet (preferably at night) or Lightning Racer. If metal is your thing, then Storm Runner. Fahrenheit is only so-so.

Whoops, I got Great Bear and Big Bad Wolf mixed up. I'm getting a little ahead of myself. I won't be able to get onto BBW until Sunday. I ended up making Farenheit my #100. We waited about an hour and 15 minutes, but it was well worth it.

It's great to see other people with really large coaster counts. I'm officially jealous of Leo and Katie. 200 and 350 coasters is just nuts to me!! Sometimes I wish I lived on the east coast.

I cannot remember my 100th coaster, but my 500th coaster was Behemoth... though I did not realize it until I got back home. Well past 500 now.

I'm nowhere near 100. I'm at 16 right now. Hopefully that will go up soon.

Working at the park at 16,17, discovering I could visit other parks in the chain is just the beginning of the long road. You're where I was 11 years ago Racer. Visiting Freestyle Music Park would be a nice start.

My 100th was Adventure Express. My 200th was Boomerang at Knott's. Woohoo! I have never planned any of the milestones. But, I lucked out with my 300th with Expedition GeForce.

I have 17 more to go for my 400th. I am hoping to make it a good one!

300th could have been The Time Machine. It was 301. 300 was Wildcat at Jolly Roger Amusement Park. Who cares? Wes helped me keep count since 300 at Carowinds.

My 100th was Cannon Ball at Lake Winnie (on my birthday no less).

I wanted to pick a southern classic for that title, and I picked a beauty! Cannon Ball is the slightly calmer cousin of Swamp Fox, in layout and the way it rides.

I'm currently at 165, which may sound like a small number to some *cough*Leo*cough*, but consider that the south really doesn't have that many parks per capita. Unlike places like PA where you're tripping over one ever 20 miles. NC to be the 10th largest population has only 2 operating parks and 1 water park.

Fahrenheit was #170 for me last Saturday. I have no recollection of other milestones.

^ Me too. I'm up to 16 states and DC.

It's amazing how similar states can look, and then sometimes look totally different at the same time. I'll be driving down the road in PA and say "oh, that looks like Charlotte!" or whatever.

I am currently at 198. I'm going to try and make Carowinds 2010 coaster my 200th. I'll just have to find 1 more coaster before next season.

I'll gave Wes a break when he told me #160 in June. You're right about how much more sparse the South is with coaster distribution. It's not like the densest populated state: NJ with Pennsylvania having all those parks within a hour or two from each other.

My 100th was Hypersonic XLC. 200th was Vortex at Canada's Wonderland.

lol. I didn't start counting until I was well past 100... So I have no idea.
But I do know the rest of the "mile stones".

200 - Hurricane (Adventureland)
300 - Thriller (Land Of Make Believe)
400 - Fly the Great Nor'Easter (Morey's Piers)
500 - Fiesta Express (Cypress Gardens Adventure Park)
And...
600 - Xcelerator (Knott's Berry Farm)

(And Arizona was state #30 for me on Monday and I have DC as well... and while were bragging 14 countries)

Well right, now, I am sadly only at a count of 45 coasters, but out of the trips that I have planned (I plan to visit Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, Sea World Orlando, Busch Gardens Africa, Kings Island, Six Flags Great Adventure, and Cedar Point) I have figured out my 100th roller coaster will be in Cedar Point. And, I do not plan to ride the smallest coaster in the park like James has, so it will be between Magnum XL-200, Maverick, Top Thrill Dragster, and Millennium Force. But this most likely won't happen for a few years!

I remember planning out my 50th coaster count so that it was Patriot, and I'm at 96 right now, with a coaster trip planned next week to Holiday World. Not sure if I'm going to make The Legend or Voyage my number 100 coaster...

Ahhh the old no. 100 . . . Boulder Dash. I had to endure Wildcat and a boomerang before I could bask in BD's glory. Good milestone marker, and I probably hit #200 that same summer but I have no idea what it was.

Markham, if i was at CP and was ready to ride #100, I'd be there all day trying to figure out what it should be.

Coasterall: It has to be The Voyage!! I haven't been on it yet, but it looks amazing.

I'm already planning #200 and it's looking like I might have to head to South Korea for T-Express.
