Six Flags Tournament of Thrills

So, Six Flags has been hosting a Tournement of thrills as some of their coasters face off to be the best. The scary thing is, right now it is El toro VS Monstre, and Monstre is winning by 2,000 votes! Come on face book users, don't let El Toro go down in shame!

It's all over the 'Book. It's basically Canada vs. New Jersey. The Tournament is totally screwed if Le Monstre actually beats El Toro. I've been on both so I can judge. Come on people, VOTE! Pick El Toro!

It's about time Canadian coasters get some recognition.

Besides, it's an internet poll; no need to get upset if El Toro loses because people on the internet didn't vote for it.

I also took Urgent out of the title, because...do I really need to explain why?

Everyone vote Le Monstre. If moot on 4chan can win the Time Magazine 100 most influential people poll, then Le Monstre can win the SF Tournament of Thrills.

El Toro just got my vote. I haven't been on El Monstre, but I can't imagine it being better than El Toro. I think I'll log on as my fiance and give the Intamin gem another vote. She hates wooden coasters, but loved El Toro.

I just voted for Le Monstre. I have never been to La Ronde but anything has got to be better than the god awful gut crushing restraints on the bull.

It's more like we have to get over it. I got over the restraints on the Topspins. The US is just too fat.

I more easily voted in this than in the Mitch H coaster polls.

Maybe this so called "tournament" is fixed. It's is really hard to believe that Le Monstre is totally dominating El Toro like this.

Or La Ronde is encourging guests to vote on Facebook. This same thing happened when Theme PArk Insider held their Best Ride In America contest. It was MAverick VS Twilight Zone and TOT lost when Cedar Point told an entire college to vote and even had them mess up the system just to get votes so MAverick could beat TOT!

Le Monstre is not that good of a ride, and although I am from Toronto, I'm not biased like other people on here. El Toro is far, far superior!

Unlikely, I think. SFOG is encouraging the voting, and it looks as if none of their coasters stand a chance.

It's not fixed. but the results are influenced by local population. i lost all respect for the tournament long ago. I agree Canadian coaster deserve some respect but is monster really better then Comet at TGE.

I can confirm this. I spoke with Kinzel when this contest was active and he stated that his top priority was Maverick defeating ToT in the Theme Park Insider poll. He even let out a long, evil laugh out of satisfaction for messing up the entire poll by unleashing his fanbase. He also spoke about how he doesn't like Markham2020.

That is very funny and fun to read Marcus. Though I am positive as the website webmaster confirmed Cedar Point was putting in random votes over and over again, crashing the site, and he had to close the site and take the polls down early. But these polls are highly respected in the Amusement Industry. For example, have you ever been to Mythos?

Mr. Freeze vs. Superman Krypton Coaster. I've been on CHILLER and Superman. Mr. Freeze gets my vote. It's my current most wanted coaster in the country.
