| What happened to Hades?
I rode Hades a couple times a few days ago only to discover it's not what I remember. It was very rough, they addes some weird sidewall to the seats of the coaster and the lights are on in the tunnel. I know not a lot of people on this site are regular Mt. Olympus parkgoers and you don't hear too much info on the park, so I'm not sure how much anybody knows. I was curious if there was some incident on the ride for the changes. Any info?

I also found Hades to be rough, more so towards the back and in wheel-seats. However, I found the front two rows to be very thrilling at a bearable roughness, (enough to consider it a Top 3 in woodies). I rode during "Night at the Park", and the lights were correctly turned off.

I thought about doing that Night At The Park deal thing but decided not to. Since I was there for two days at Mt. Olympus and in the Dells for a whole week and could've gone to Mt. Olympus any day we wanted as part of our hotel special, we had plenty o time to ride everything we wanted. If I had known they had the lights off at night, I would've paid the $5 for the night deal. Although, when did you go? I wonder if it wasn't because it was at night but rather they weren't turning the lights on in the tunnel yet.

I was there on the 13th of August. I also went to the waterpark the following day. On my way out of the park, my group got one last ride on Hades at around 5-6 o'clock and the lights in the tunnel were not on. But I cannot confirm if the lights were turned on later that evening. I hit Timbers Falls while I was in the area and noticed the ride still had signs naming it's coaster Avalanche. But I find it weird that rcdb has it listed as "Hellcat".

First off, I don't see why you care if you have nothing to add to this thread. If you can't see the difference, might I suggest some glasses? I'll break it down for you. When I rode Hades last week, it was rough, had a lot of problems and wasn't what I remembered. It made me think of another Gravity Group coaster, The Voyage. So I worried that maybe another one of my favorite wooden coasters was suffering the same fate. So while Hades is what inspired the thread you linked to, it was actually asking about the Voyage. This thread is asking about Hades. I would've thought the thread titles alone would've made it clear. Apparently not. No wait, only you questioned it. Must mean you're "special". Or maybe your goal was just to 1+ your post count. If that's the case, congratulations to you.

We all can see how the two threads are different, but don't act like you need two different threads to address your ONE (1) last visit to ride Hades. Especially since your first post in the 'Voyage' thread talked all about Hades anyway, not like you could have just addressed it there. And hey, looks like you don't need two different threads after all, because neither of them exceeded a page in length, and neither of them will. EDIT: You were offended by a single sentence made by somebody 12 years younger than you. On the internet. But no you're right, I'm special. Last edited by Jerry S; 08-27-2009 at 01:43 PM. |

| Correction- Everyone else was able to see the difference, not you. Because after all, that's not what you said in your first post. Two different topics...two different threads. Pretty simple, no? I don't need a lot of posts in my thread to feel some sort of significance. All I was looking for was an answer. I don't need the threads to be a page long. Oh and for evidence that the two different topics needed two different threads, the first thread, everyone responded about Voyage. This thread, I got some of the info I was looking for about Hades from Marcus. So why so much confusion on your part? And you think I was offended? I found it more amusing really about your pointless post. It kinda came off as you whining.

Please keep thread on topic. You know, as stated in the Terms of Service? So how about that Hades?
