SFOG & SFMM Batman repaints

I took a wait and see approach on the repaints of the Batman: The Ride coasters at SFOG and SFMM. The black supports blue track variant at SFMM looks good but the SFOG version got my attention. The blue track dark blue support version at SFOG reminds me of Great White at Seaworld San Antonio. Do you like this repaint Racer? I was lucky to get the SFOG version last year before the new paint. On Screamscape they mentioned the rumor of people seeing yellow paint at SFOG but I think that may have been a joke. The Fiesta Texas version just across town from SeaWorld is blue and yellow as Goliath. Great White is one of the best Batman The Ride clones I've been on. I like the SFOG repaint.

The last time I went by SFOG, it was only half painted, but what they had looked good. I saw that parts of the coaster were light blue, but I think that it was primer. If yellow paint was seen, I would say that there are only two possibilities- Georgia Scorcher getting a new coat of paint, or B:TR's rails getting yellow paint.

P.S. If I recall, SFOG's B:TR was painted dark blue when it opened.

I need some more storied SFOG visitors input on that. I thought only the SFMM had the gray track when I thought all the other B:TR's generally debuted all black.

SFOG's BTR has Black and Grey when I rode in in 96. i woudl need to see a pic to give my opinion but Blue Track with Blue Supports sounds like it could be a good look.

They don't primer rides when they're repainting them, only when they're in the factory and the metal is still exposed. The only kind of "primer" they use are blotches in places where paint is chipped, to prevent it from happening in the same place once its been repainted.

That explains why the blue primer was around bolts, certain streaks. On Medusa at SFGADV I saw a small stripe of blue primer on a portion of the helix before we came to learn it would become Bizarro.

The new paint at SFOG's Batman looks great. I remember the first time I saw it while driving down 20, definitely did a double take and a "WTF?" crossed my mind. As far as the yellow paint, has anyone noticed that Acrophobia is no longer blue, yellow and purple but blue, yellow and orangeish yellow? Now I'm not a fan of that paint job...

SFOG's B:TR repaint looks good. ^And yes, the yellow paint was for Acrophobia. They painted over the red with it. To me it didn't look orange. Leo was right about the yellow paint being there, it just wasn't for B:TR.

With Acro's purple I thought the green was left out. If Acro had all those colors it would have been like the former Zonga.

What about green? I think I missed something. lol. Acro's purple was more like a red/purple mix.

It never had green but it seems like it should have had it.

^I understand now... Anyways, I got a closer look at Acrophobia earlier today. It is orange when you're close up, but at a distance, it looks yellow. I don't care for it much...

The paint makes it look more headliner again. I had a bold glow about this similar paint job on Great White at Seaworld.
