Real-Coasters.com is dedicated to producing extremely high quality pictures of amusement parks and specifically roller coasters. I have a pretty good schedule lined up for this year and I look forward to updating this thing as often as possible.

At the moment the entire package is over 400mb if you look at the originals which are around 2048 x 1360 and 180dpi = 1-1.6mb per picture (much less than the true originals :P)

Enjoy some excellent photography and depending upon the quality of a print I am ordering, you could request prints to be made of any picture in the gallery.

Update!

Added pictures of Cedar Point 2005 opening weekend. I plan to add the rest of the rides when I get a nice clear blue sky day. Right now its got Raptor, WT, MaXair and some other misc photos from other years past.

All photos of Maxair seem to be awsome. I have never seen any photos of a Huss frisbee that awsome. They need to use some of those at thrie site to sell the ride.

Those photos are pretty cool, except the Dragster photo. Boring. It doesn't show anything. You can hardly see the train going by. I think you should have shown the tower and let the shutter stay open for more than a second.

What kind of lenses do you have?

I love the dragster shot, though its a really old shot and from an artistic standpoint you will not get a more action packed shot from the launch at night. If you let the shutter stay open too long, youll get a shot thats far more blurred and the train will be invisible and if you take a shot too short itll just be a short blurred mess and look like an amateur shot.

But I had the standard 18-50 or something which actually is like a 35-90 since you do some crazy 1.6x multiplier on it because Digital isnt the same as 35mm. Then I have a regular Canon 70-300 Ultrasonic lens.

I have some looking up at the tower that are time lapse and they suck. The tower is SO bright that the train always ends up totally blurring out. I will definatly experiment since I have digital (I was less apt to doing that with film since I had to pay for every shot) with some tower shots but its not easy to get something on that tower that is both artistic and dynamic but not static and amatuerish.

So trust me, you wont find too many shots better at night that capture the train as much as that shot did for the length of time. Any short = short blurred shot and any longer = no train at all. I love the stutter in the train which I believe was caused by the lights which probably flicker really, really fast (faster than eye can see) causing that "strobe" efffect.

Site is in process of switching domains. I have another host all set up and Im uploading files right now I just need to switch over the domain which hopefully my old host takes care of or there will be problems...

So in the next couple days it could be down or up, not sure yet.

Thanks for the comments. Shivering Timbers is my fave ride and luckily I had that perfect day to take some great pictures. I hope to get back there on another day like that and take my better camera up there.

Same one Ive been using. Should work, Ive tried it from other computers on my network.

BTW I am looking into turning any of my photos into posters for sale by order.

Heres some tentative numbers:

30x20 - $30-35
24x16 - $25-28
20x14 - $20-25
18x12 - $15-20
16x10 - $10-15

Those are rough estimates, would depend if I want to ship myself or have the dealer ship them for me to each individual person.

I just got my order in and its on Photo Matte so its not uber shiny but it is shiny, perfect for framing of just hanging up. Its a 30 x 20 (so its huge) and the original picture is actually only at Medium resolution and it still looks awesome.

I will get a better one on the wall or holding it later but thats laying on my bed. Approx. 2.5ft tall and 1.75ft wide. Its what I consider a perfect size but I can do custom orders as well.

Small update:

Went to Geauga Lake on Saturday. Not sure Ill ever get another weekend as beautiful as this one, but I had a crappy day with picture taking since I had a friend and we rode rides instead of taking pictures. However, I did capture a few and they are in the obvious category called "Unfinished and Unsorted". A few are from Cedar Point on Friday night when we went up to upgrade out passes to include Geauga Lake. Hopefully I get another crystal clear weekend in the summer that I can take advantage of.

Only about 80% complete, still missing some rides. However, not sure when and if Ill be able to get to those anytime soon.

I did have the link, but due to a server mishap I had to quickly re-install everything. Ill throw that back up right now...

Also, I have seen several, several people post concerning updates to their sites. Do I need to just put the link in my signature and not post it or what? I just went through about 3-4 topics and stopped looking for more because they were doing the same thing, just minus the link.
