Point Xtreme!

After a bit of an absence from the internet the best new Cedar Point fan website is back up and running with V1.5!

Point Xtreme (www.pointxtreme.com), the newest unofficial Cedar Point fan site on the Web, has launched an updated version of the site. Version 1.5 features a completely fresh look, as well as some new features and two additional staff members. The launch begins a new chapter for the site, which has recently overcome a variety of server problems. Point Xtreme is not resting on its laurels, however, as work is already underway for version two, which will include even more Cedar Point information and features.

Launched on February 26, version 1.5 features Point Report, a new blog where Point Xtreme staff members will share their opinions about the latest news and rumors related to Cedar Point. Point Xtreme has also added Jon Roost and Michael Hunter to its staff. The two of them are helping with further development of the site for the upcoming version two.

Server problems plagued Point Xtreme for many months, causing a great deal of downtime for certain areas of the site, including the message board. The site is now operating on a new server, Super Cool Hosting (www.supercoolhosting.com), and everything has been running smoothly.

Point Report, the new blog at Point Xtreme, will take an honest, in-depth look at the latest happenings at Cedar Point. According to forums manager David Grotenhuis, “Point Report is a great opportunity for us to keep our guests up to date on all the things that are going on at Cedar Point, and to share our perspectives and thoughts on them.”

Michael Hunter has been added to the Point Xtreme staff, and is responsible for many of the new and expanded sections that version two will feature. Hunter lives in Northeastern Indiana, but grew up in Ohio and has been going to Cedar Point his entire life.

Joining Hunter on the staff is Jon Roost, who will take over as webmaster when version two launches. The current webmaster, James Rochford, will remain as the owner of the site. Roost lives in Allendale, Michigan and is currently the webmaster for Michigan’s Roller Coast (www.mirollercoast.com), the leading unofficial fan site for Michigan’s Adventure amusement park.

Looking into the not-so-distant future, Point Xtreme will soon be launching version two of the site. No launch date has been set, but work on the new version has been ongoing for some time. “Version two will take us to new heights in the world of Cedar Point fan sites,” said Grotenhuis. “In terms of content, it will blow away what we have now. The future looks very bright for Point Xtreme.”
