Good coasters take time. And there's quite a few active NL members over at Coastersims.com as well. I know of several TN members that put their coasters up over at CS. I've got a couple uploaded in the speedzone myself... Nothing too spectacular, but I don't spend a whole lot of time in NL. http://www.thrillnetwork.com/speedzo....php?file=1060 http://www.thrillnetwork.com/speedzo....php?file=1077 http://www.thrillnetwork.com/speedzo....php?file=1709 http://www.thrillnetwork.com/speedzo....php?file=1710 Keep in mind, the newest of my uploaded coasters is from November of 05. I will have my Elementary Contest coaster uploaded sometime over the weekend. |

Well Like Mav said, It takes time to make good coasters; I think its annoying when someone uploads a new track everyday, the trackwork is horrbile and all the supports are prefab....take some time to make it a better coaster! IMO I don't really like uploading my tracks to the speedzone; sometimes I think people just rate to get their post count up. Comments like "OMGZ Great ride!! I luved the colors!!"-10 or "You look at the sky too much. station was too long."-4; nobody needs those comments. I really go to coastersims because they have a great rating system.

I have noticed this and feel that it is kind of a continuing cycle. I used to upload to SZ, but there seemed to be a lack of interest. That lack of interest made me stop posting, therefore contributing to the lack of interest. Another thing was the lack of quality rates. I would have a ride with over 60 downloads that only had 2 or 3 rates.

We're in the process of making it a little more interactive and a little more helpful. My best advice to get attention for your coaster is to advertise it and create a NLDC on it. Post pictures, tell people what you want to do, how you're executing it. Don't expect to get attention just by putting it up, if theres one thing, (And one thing only) I learned from Paris Hilton, is that you really gotta work or do something stupid to get attention. Lets make sure you do work to get attention. Post pictures, advertise in your signature etc. Thats what I suggest.

As CPMaverick said, good coasters take a lot of time. My last took over a month to fully design and complete. Since then (early July) I haven't done too much on NL since then except begin a unique drop coaster. I plan to work on it some during the long 7 hour drive back home tomorrow. Until then here's my newest coaster: http://www.thrillnetwork.com/speedzo....php?file=2549

I've moved this to the SpeedZone section... Even though this has more to do with NoLimits than RCT or other coaster games, I see the same thing with RCT. Personally, I have not uploaded anything in a while, as I only do coaster uploads. I think its really a means of getting traffic diverted to Speedzone. Maybe I can get better looks and opinions for my coasters (and see them re-created in No Limits, there's the challenge for you NL folk).
