| | | Sage Rosenfels starting for the Texans today, with Matt Schaub sick. After watching our defense injure Schaub both games last year, and Rosenfels stepping in and absolutely dominating our D, the Colts should have a tough test today.

Who'd have thunk it.

| | | Wow, what a game! Kerry Collins' starting job on the line and he leads our offense 80 yards for a touchdown against the best defense in the NFL. Crazy game all over, from Cortland Finnegan and Keith Bulluck getting into it, our defense having lots of trouble trying to wrap up the Ravens RBs and was inable to get pressure on Flacco, and Kerry Collins playing awful for the first 54 minutes of the game and finally turning it on, we were still able to pull out the W.
That game-winning drive, man.. great play by our o-line. They gave Collins lots of time to throw and Bo Scaife kept getting open for crucial first downs. And four minutes into the drive, Collins finds Crumpler in the end zone for the win. That was what we got Crumpler for, to be a big red zone target for our QB. Finally, Nick Harper capped off a big win with a pick of Joe Flacco. Our team was able to bounce back and get to 5-0. But after a tough, emotional game today, we need the bye week next Sunday.
Oh, and I take back my comment from before about Rosenfels. He played a great game, but his inability to hold onto the ball gave the Colts the game.

| | | That was an amazing game today. Panthers basically shut the Cheifs down in every way. A 34-0 spanking which was the Panthers largest victory in history and i think Larry Johnson was held to 2 yards.

| | | I came off the plane at Newark (EWR) and got an update from my friend. The Redskins came ahead 16-14 against the EAGLES. Down Route 1 in Central Jersey when I finally got ready reception I heard the EAGLES loss, like 23-17. : ( The EAGLES go to San Francisco next.

Thanks for your vote of confidence! :sighs:
This is the absolute sickest feeling I've ever felt as a ( still proud) Texans fan....the biggest meltdown in Houston sports history. I am convinced that it must be written in the league rules somewhere that my team is suppose to lose all the time. But I don't care, I still love them to death.

| | | ^ hold your head high as a Texans fan. For the 2nd, 3rd, and most of the fourth quarter, they flat outplayed the Colts. And they outplayed them by a LOT.
From the way they've been drafting and building, I'd say the Texans are about two years from being a VERY competitive team.

| | It would be in time for 2011, the year Jimmy reminds us the Super Bowl would be held in Texas.
Just look at the Florida Marlins and Tampa Bay Lighting. It took about a decade, well the Marlins won that 1997 World Series, to shake it off for those expansion teams. The Texans are due.
The Bills lost to the Cardinals.

| | | Whooo! The Skins are looking pretty good right now. They start slow, but get stronger every quarter. I can't believe that they shut down the Eagles offense as well as they did, although there were a few dropped passed that helped too. With the Rams, Browns, and Lions coming up they should be 7-1 as long as they stay focused.

| | | The Panthers also have what looks like an easy schedule (with Tampa next week being an exception). They could easily have one of their best starts to the year.

| | | The Redskins shut the EAGLES offense down? I didn't watch the game cause I was in transit but I bet they dropped passes, shot themselves in the foot again like they did against Chicago. It's the same problem like last year where they need to show up in the 2nd half and earn their paychecks not check out like they've been doing.

| | | Carolina has two straight big division games with TB next week then back home for New Orleans so if everything goes right and the panthers come to play then we could be 6-1 with a nice lead in the division.

Sorry, but I can't help but to disagree with that. The Colts knew exactly what they were doing the entire game; they were in control all long. And the meltdown I referred to wasn't Houston choking, it was Indianapolis' master plan played to perfection. They set my team up big time for their comeback -- in the fourth quarter, they had the home team right where they wanted them and made their charge. The Colts just wanted to tease the same fans that are still trying to recover from Hurricane Ike into believing they could win the game, adding insult to an already injured city.
Sage played a great game, but he was torn to shreds by the awakened Colts defense -- he DID NOT choke! Prove me wrong! I couldn't have been more proud of him or the team even after the game. My team was set up big time -- honestly, that's my opinion on it.
And I don't really see anything to hold my head up: Being 0-4 and missing the playoffs again this year, having their schedule screwed up by Ike, getting massacred by Tennessee and Pittsburgh, playing their hearts out at Jacksonville last week and still lost by a field goal, losing two key players for the season, being the biggest laughingstock in NFL history, and to top it all off the epic set-up last Sunday in our home opener.
Sorry for the rant, but there's simply nothing to feel good about at all. And I guarantee you all that we've even lost lots of fans because of Sunday's home opener. Just a sick, sick feeling.
